Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo, Osun State, has declared the State Assembly Election for Obokun State Constituency inconclusive. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye of the All Progressives Congress had challenged the victory of Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Adewumi Adeyemi. The panel said the petitioner established over voting in four units and cancelled elections in those units. It subsequently declared the results of the poll inconclusive and ordered rerun in the units. The panel, however, upheld the election of Mulikat Abiola of APC, who was returned elected as the lawmaker representing Ifelodun State Constituency. The panel said the petitioner, Hazzim Abioye of PDP failed to prove allegations that the respondent did not resign her appointment in Michael Opara University, Umudike before contesting the poll Cc Lalasticala mynd44 Source: https://www.jalabase.com/news/breaking-osun-tribunal-declares-election-of-another-pdp-lawmaker-inconclusive/

athaboi: What the fvck is wrong with some of you? So, if an APC petitioner was able to prove his case and a PDP petitioner couldn’t prove his, the tribunal should not do justice to the cases? Must tribunals give judgement in favour of PDP every time just to prove that they are not compromised? The judiciary prevented APC from contesting elections in two states and heaven did not fall. Tribunals all over the country have given judgement more in favour of PDP than APC without the latter complaining. So, why do you guys like blackmailing the judiciary anytime a judgement is given in favour of APC? 2 Likes 1 Share |
