South Africans are the .most unreasonable set of people I've come across, very lazy and useless, jobs are there but they won't work, yet they will kill those who do their job, we should eject them from au and un, yeye nation

I was meant to understand that only Ibos do business in southAfrica, so how come the President of Nigeria union in SA is a yoruba man. Last last Nigeria is not united country, so how can her be respected
CuriousMynd:
The Federal government via its verified Twitter handle, has reacted to the recent Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians residing in South Africa.

Recall Igbere TV reported earlier that properties includings cars which belong to Nigerians in the country, was set on fire by South Africans. Shops belonging to Nigerians was also looted by South Africans as captured in a viral video.

President of the Nigeria Union South Africa, Adetola Olubajo, had said that recent attacks began on Sunday morning in Jeppestown area of Johannesburg.

Mr Olubajo said in a statement on Monday that the mob “looted several shops that were around the vicinity suspected to be owned by foreign nationals.”

The Federal government in its reaction stated that the attacks are unacceptable and that President Buhari will meet with the South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa, in October over the rising attacks.

But somehow I blame those foreigners living in Sa, this isn't the first of such attacks and this definitely won't be the last and this particular attack has been in planning since last week. Why will ppl wait for south Africans to kill them before knowing it is better for them to leave the place ?

No they prefer s.a locals to kill them than hunger and Bokoharam

but there are many many other African countries they can go to and be safe . the reason why most are stuck there is because majority of them have become illegal , most have expired passports , visas and on top of all these many dont even have the funds to leave , south Africa is a tough joint , therefore many of these foreigner turn to crime to survive , secondly these attacks on foreigners in sa are not nationwide , just restricted to poor ghettos and places , elite places are still very safe for foreigners , but living among poor unemployed south Africans and making money in their presence always turn their anger on and they take out their frustrations on foreigners living in their midst and accusing them of taking their jobs and women

Nigerians revolt: Foreign nationals threaten to unleash revenge in South Africa
In response to the targeted xenophobic violence, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) called for the South African government to either get a hold of the situation that’s been taking place in Gauteng or deal with the consequence of more than 120 South African companies in Nigeria being forced to close up shop.

— L E K A U (@lekau_101) September 3, 2019
This ultimatum was later echoed by the Nigerian government who, on Twitter, stated that:
“The continuing attacks on Nigerian nationals and businesses in South Africans are unacceptable. Enough is enough. Nigeria will take defensive measures to ensure the safety and protection of its citizens.”
Following the tweets of the Government of Nigeria and the Nigerian Foreign Affairs Minister, its fair to say South Africa is the brink of a diplomatic crisis with Nigeria
