I so much thank God for His many blessings, I just received my Oceanic Bank letter of employment today after so many disappointments from other poor banks that don't deserve me. I did my test in peaceful Ibadan with no stress and overwhelming competition last year October.

Dear fellow Nairalanders, especially those still looking for a good, well- paying- job, I graduated with a 2:2 and from a state University so you too can be favoured. But i read all my GMAt and GRE like a 2:1 student. (I repented). I still need help though, and i'd like to know how Oceanic goes about their training especially for entry level staff and how long the probation lasts.

Please help a brother secure what he has. I pray God answers all your prayers too.

Adecisco, This is unbelieveable because i also sat for that test and i was informed in Nov. last year that i pass the test that i will b contacted when due for the interview , but since then i neva hear from them, pls can you help us out on this issue, i av also sent u an e-mail.

They will still call you for sure. Just make sure you keep up on something so your brain will not depreciate. Then study their webisite welll

Yeah, thank you 1forall. All those disappointments made me who I am now. I just kept pressing on with tears in my eyes but prayers in my heart. Thank God I can face greater challenges now because even having a job is not the end of my problems.

I pray that God will lead me to my promise land but in the mean time, gotta experience peace

AdeCisco, Congrats on your new job with Oceanic bank. You are about to experience peace in your career as a banker especially when it is oceanic where we experience peace.I work with Oceanic bank as a trainee. It takes 6 months to be in that position and after that you go up to the next level as an assistant officer one(AO1).Before now, someone can stay upto one year before going to the next level, since going up to the next level depends on if you have attended the 8 weeks compulsory classroom training or not but lately management has approved direct promotion to the next level as long as you have stayed upto six months.But that does not mean you will not attend the compulsory training. I hope this information is elaborate enough. Once again congrats.

Big guy! You're the man for having to resume with Cisco this August. I really admire your courage and zeal. You may be right in your observation because ever since i dropped my pen as a computer engineering student, I'd always wanted a world that talks about money. To me that's the koko. I started learning the rudiments like Economics, Financial management etc as well as my Cisco Book you know. I was really confused at a time but i prayed and here i am today. I read my GMAT books to stupor. The challenge i have now is, i must think like a banker to survive the training (both on-the-job and classroom). I will still write the Cisco exams for fulfilment in future but i love the world of money.
