The apc would have used Idris Wada's abysmal performance while in office to campaign against him. Remember he was voted out because of his performance then even as incumbent. The pdp went for a new face and someone from the largest local government in kogi state and one of the largest in west Africa, Dekina local government.

I very well understand the power of incumbency especially in African politics, I also understand the power of population which the igalas have. Don't forget incumbents have lost reelection in kogi state before. An incumbent Audu lost in 2003 and an incumbent Wada lost in 2015, so no be new thing for kogi.

To me, this is one of the party primaries with a true democratic approach. PDP has tried.

It's gonna be a big clash btw Igala and Ebira.

About yahaya Bello 's candidate winning elections, you seem to forget that those candidates are from those localities and were voted by their own people, many of them would have won elections in their localities even without the help of Bello, he was only very relevant during the primaries due to the indirect primaries option. Take jibrin ochocho as an example, he was bello's candidate for kogi east but we all know he would have still won without bello's support, inshort, bello supported his candidacy because he was scared jibrin would contest for governor. You seem to know nothing about kogi politics mi lady.
