The famous actor Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator), who later became Governor of the State of California, USA, posted a picture of himself sleeping in the street under his famous bronze statue, and wrote sadly ("How times changed".

The reason he slept there and wrote the sentence was not only odd to many but intriguing. Some thought he was a nut or in the usual joking mood as a famous actor, though rare.

Then a journalist took a bold step to approach him and ask why he was sleeping in the public glare when he could have afford all the comforts inside his home or better still in the hotel.

Do you know what he found out?

Arnold Schwarzenegger told him that he was not a nut neither too old to forget his senses and propriety. He was neither catching his fun, but rather making a statement of life.

He recalled that when he was the Governor of the State of California, he was invited to officially open the massive multimillion dollar hotel where his statue was placed in front of it in his honour.

He noted further that the hotel management publicly declared at the opening ceremony that "at any time you come back, you will meet a room reserved in your name that will be placed at your disposal free of charge."

He said he never came back while in office. However years later he recalled those promises after leaving office and decided to come back and spend a time in the hotel either for free or at paying cost. However what he discovered on arrival is that the hotel administration had refused to give him a room arguing that the hotel was fully booked, even when he was ready to pay. He therefore decided to place a cover under the statue and sleep.

REFLECTIONS
Arnold Schwarzenegger asked the reporter to send this message of reflection as a lesson to those in position of responsibility thus:

"When you are in a position, people may be praising you. Don't let it get to your head or your heart. Be yourself and don't get carried away. Even if they mean to be true and sincere, check yourself that you have not exceeded your limits.

Be sure that you are doing what is right and what is good. Don't place any expectation on others and don't look away at your friends and family or make enemies for yourself. Let your door be open to everyone and open your mind to anyone making a point. They may be your guardian angels. No one knows it all.

Remember that your position is for a while. The people who surround you to seek your favour may even forget you sooner than you can remember. Those who spent time with you are no exception. You may be lonely someday. Even some of the people you helped may eventually loath you.

Remember, what you have to your name is your good works. The legacies that you left in the sands of time. That is what will speak for you. Do not assume that every word spoken to you in office will be kept as a promise in future.

Do not trust your position, name, power, money, fame or intelligence as a magic to open doors in future. Only trust in your good work and legacies because nothing last long in life but death.

A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has dismissed a fake news being circulated by the APC to portray General Muhammadu Buhari as having a West African School Certificate (WASC).

Frank who was reacting to a media report aimed at deceiving Nigerians and also swaying the Presidential Election Petition Court to rule in favour of General Buhari, urged the APC to stop spreading falsehood as “the world knows that Buhari has no Secondary school certificate anywhere”.

According to him, the report titled: “Buhari cambridge certificate verification; PDP agent disappointed” is a fake news from the pit of hell.

The report quoting an unnamed source had claimed among other things that “As the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal kicked off few months ago, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) sent a team of lawyers and other party agents to the University of Cambridge to confirm the authenticity of the West African School Certificate (WASC) of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“A Cambridge source said that the opposition party not only sent a delegation but also made a request seeking potential evidence, citing doubts about the authenticity of the President’s WASC results.

“The source said that the PDP representatives who visited Cambridge were stunned to discover that the President did write the examination, passed and were even dumbfounded when they cited the well kept records of the Cambridge University.

“The source said even the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and associates requested Cambridge provide them with a confirmation of his certificate,” the report said.

Frank wondered why the APC could descend so low in trying to fraudulently rewrite history by claiming that Cambridge University allegedly confirmed that a self-confessed certificate-less General Buhari now has a certificate.

He said: “It is a shame that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and his lackeys have become so shameless to the point where they churn out blatant lies to confuse Nigerians. The question is: does Gen. Buhari have a WAEC certificate?

“If yes, where is it? Lai Mohammed had admitted that Buhari does not have a WAEC certificate and asked Nigerians to forgive him for not knowing where his (Buhari) certificate was 53 years after leaving Secondary School.

“Nigerians can now see why the APC’s government is clueless. This so called cambridge source, who is he? What is his name? Nigerians will love to get in touch with him to ascertain the veracity of the information.

“But I can assure Nigerians that the source will forever remain anonymous, reason being that this so called source does not exist.

“This is pure garbage being churned out by the APC’s and Buhari’s propaganda machine but glory be to God, Nigerians are not buying and will not buy the lies this time around. Instead, Nigerians are asking that Buhari be sacked, #SACKBUHARI,” the Bayelsa-born activist said.

He said that of Justice Walter Onnoghen could be fraudulently hounded out of the Judiciary as Chief Justice of Nigeria because of his alleged lack of full asset declaration, why should General Buhari who has no record of having completed his school certificate remain as President in brazen violation of the nation’s Constitution?

He said: “Onnoghen was embarrased and forced to resign from office as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) for omitting to declare all his assets, yet Lai Mohammed is asking Nigerians to forgive Buhari who has no WAEC Certificate and once lied that his certificate is with the military.

“General Buhari is now the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, yet he cannot fish out his certificate from the military authorities.

“Notwithstanding, APC wants Nigerians to depend on an unknown and unnamed source from Cambridge to believe General Buhari has a certificate. Why go to Sokoto when you can get what you lack inside your ‘sokoto?’

“The Constitution is clear. A minimum of school certificate is required to contest for the office of President. The law is also clear on the penalty for pejury.

“I want to use this opportunity to remind the presidential electoral petition judges that Nigerians are watching and waiting to read what their judgement will be.

“Give the right judgement by sacking Gen. Buhari because he does not have a WAEC certificate which amounts to a gross violation of the constitution and write your names in GOLD on the annals of Nigeria’s history for being men of courage and integrity who stood by the truth at a critical moment.

“Initially Gen. Buhari said the certificate was with the military. None of his course mates in the military could testify under oath that they did submit their certificates to the military.

“Besides, even the military itself has come out boldly to say that they are not in possession of General Buhari’s WAEC certificate. Is this a ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ certificate that people cannot see?”

Why did Buhari refuse to submit the attestation certificate presented to him by WAEC in November 2016?

Because if he dares do that, PDP legal team and any other 3rd party can approach Cambridge to ascertain the authenticity of the document. Cambridge has made it clear that only the bearer of the certificate in question or when the certificate becomes public document is when they are liable to comment on the veracity of the said certificate.

Buhari and APC legal team have been avoiding to present Buhari's fake certificates in court to dispute PDP and Atiku's suit that Buhari is ineligible to contest the presidential election owing to Buhari not graduating from secondary school - the minimum constitutionally prerequisite academic certification.

Instead of providing valid documented proof that he did indeed attend and graduate from secondary school, buhari's legal team has been parading individuals as witnesses that buhari was their classmate.

Having a classmate does not make you a secondary school leaver. I know of several people I attended secondary school and university with who dropped out. Does that make them secondary or university school graduates?

Buhari should provide concrete evidence or else it will be taken as fact that he never graduated from secondary school.

Simple English, you can't even comprehend. He must have the minimum which is the WASC. Any other higher qualification does not matter as long as he can't establish that he has the minimum. The case is not even about whether he has the certificate or not. He has committed perjury by lying under an oath that his certificate is with the military. On this ground alone, he stands disqualified.
