Let me just remind you that sanctions only serve to make SA stronger. Check how Apartheid sanctions helped us to industrialize. Today we have a far more superior manufacturing and military base because we looked inward for solutions.

So i beseech you to galvanize Africa to isolate us - won't change the fact your economy has been oil dependent since independence.

So we'll also see where YOU will be in the next 2 years when oil prices dip once again.

3 categories....in SA

1. Professional (55% south, 40% east, and 5% north Nigerians)

2. Business men (20% south, 55% east, and 25% north Nigerians)

3. Drugs barons (10% south, 80% east, and 10% north Nigerians)

Those that live loud (6% south, 90% east, and 4% north Nigerians

*** if you had lived with these 3 set of Nigerians you would wat they are capable of doing...

It seems that you enjoy making up data to portray the Igbo as drug dealers. I am amazed that you are ever willing to die to continue to share a country with the Igbo, whereas the Igbo are ever ready to die to get away from you. Do you guys just love drug dealers or is there something we are missing here?

the truth is pan- Africa is a cherade ,they are just using Nigeria's head, Nigeria is to Africa what that one friend who you only invite in the group when its time to buy drinks cos you know he will be the one to declare but when its time to discuss important issues, you leave him out.

We have turned to figure head big brother who is only good at rescuing countries yet quick to be humilated even unprovoked. The EU has been quiet ,if Nigerian leaders are wise ,they should get the message loud and clear, "fix your country and mind your business". If it was needing of relief materials or one favor by now EU will be buzzing like flies ontop sh1t around Nigeria ,looking for favours and cooperation.

I just hope after all this ,our leaders fall back and take notes of every single person's reaction to this including countries who were quiet. Sometimes sh1t needs to happen so you know those who are for you or against you and the EU has proven that "one Africa" is farce.Just an avenue to strategically use some countries to climb the ladder
True talk.

Poor sense of judgement, that is what you just displayed now! Do you even know why I quoted that guy? Have you read our previous comments on the subject matter ? My comments and reactions on the ongoing xenophobic attacks in S A are all here in this forum. Why don't you dig them up to know my position on the subject matter? You just jumped on my mention without having any idea as to why I quoted that dunce.

Why on earth would any reasonable Nigerian say that those xenophobic "south Africans are better than South westerners( Yoruba's) ! What is the correlation between south Africans and Yoruba? I don't have time for any tribal bigot and I won't keep quite when someone is trying to ridicule my tribe.

It is Nigerians that are being killed in South Africa. The xenophobic south Africans don't know any difference between Igbo and Yoruba.

39 out of 89 Nigerians killed in SA in last 21 months died in drug wars

60% of over 10,000 Nigerians in SA prisons there for drug offenses

~3% of Nigerians in SA are in prison

As at July this year Nigeria had less than 24,000 convicts in prison https://www.prisons.gov.ng/statistics which means more than a quarter the number of convicts at home are imprisoned in SA alone. When we count Ghana and the rest of Africa, before we even go to Oyinbo land, can we boast that our children are representing us well out there?

The authorities reportedly told the envoy that there are three categories of Nigerians in South Africa. The first are professionals, who are doing very well in such fields as medicine and the academics. The second are businessmen, including genuine traders. The third are those into drugs.

“These people (drug couriers) are few but they are very loud. Sadly, it is they that are seen as the faces of Nigeria in South Africa,” a senior official was said to have told the special envoy.

This is exactly the opinion expressed in the Facebook article https://www.nairaland.com/5398486/sa-vs-nigeria-sorry-field I posted here weeks back. We did not need a special envoy to tell us this.

I knew that free trade within African countries is a scam.

South Africans don't want black foreigners to have shops in their country.

Ghana put into law that before a Nigerian will open even a chemist or provision shop in Ghana the Nigerian must first pay them $300,000 US dollars. But they want free trade area in Nigeria territory.

Nigeria at the other hand has closed his borders recently, only for us to realize that we don't consume 60m liters of fuel a day. instead, we are consuming 30 something liters a day. Which means Nigeria is paying fuel subsidy for Niger, Chad, Benin, Togo, and Ghana.

And for Nigeria, now we've closed our borders what's the essence of a free trade agreement? We need to close our borders for life. Average Nigerian manufacturers haven't covered the whole Nigerian market let alone cover Africa. Make everybody face their country and stop this nonsense free trade until we are mature in Africa.

Africa is too backward for Nigeria right now. Majority of black African nations are still too tied to the apron stings of the West, economically and mentally. Nigeria’s African products will not find enduring market in Africa. Our music and entertainment for instance are just passing fads. Africa embraced those only because those found favour in the West first. Soon as those fade in the West, they will fade in Africa also. A Kenyan would rather embrace Indian curry and Pillar rice than Nigerian African stew and eba just as a South African would celebrate East Europeans selling drugs to them yet froth at the mouth at even an imagined Nigerian drug seller. Nigeria will be a dumping ground for cheap European West manufacturing as well recipient of all the old bad black habits of mental inferiority the rest of Africa have yet to free themselves. We will be for ever on the receiving end of childish traits such as jealousy that many of these broken African cultures never wean from their children.

Nigeria is a Nation that will do best in Africa in isolation but trading with the rest of the outside world.

That's a systematic way of saying we don't want Nigerians in our market. But trust Nigerians $300,000 ko $3m Ni.

But Ghana wants free trade area in Nigerian territory.

How many Ghanaian Shoemakers in Nigeria can pay us $300,000 to open a shop?

Or are we going to pretend like we don't know that foreigners like Ghanaians, Togo and Benin republic people have taken over our housing labor work?

Nigeria at the other hand has closed his borders recently, only for us to realize that we don't consume 60m liters of fuel a day. instead, we are consuming 30 something million liters a day. Which means Nigeria is paying fuel subsidy for Niger, Chad, Benin, Togo, and Ghana.

free trade means goods produced in your country can move across the borders of all african countries without restrictions it doesnt mean come and sell recharge card or do petty trading in Ghana. We have enough petty traders the country is too small to accommodate your traders. You can pull out of the free trade that's your problem the rest of Africa is bigger than nigeria
