if we can't summon the courage to burn our politicians alive; then it is wrong to burn anybody alive. if you are sensible, empathetic and want the good of this nation, then this is your fault! you left leadership to people who don't care about the education and empowerment of nigerians; just see what ignorance of the nigerian populace almost caused; a human life would have been destroyed for a phone!

Only hardened criminals set other criminals ablaze.

Say no to jungle justice. You might end up killing an innocent person.

The guy must have had so many thoughts running through his mind. At that moment when they were going to set him ablaze,He would be thinking "ah God! so na so i want take die? so na like this my life wan take end? And suddenly the angel of mercy in the the form of nigerian police came and rescued him from imminent death by roasting.God just gave him a second chance.God said he would not die like this.I pray he makes good use of that second chance to turn a new leave and become a better person in future.

You won't understand how heartless and wicked these thieves are. I really don't blame people who send them to the other side.

They couldn't even reason from the perspective that the guy was just hungry undecided..smh.
As much as I don't justify the act of stealing but at the same time, we still need to be humane and empathic in this country.
The only justification that could be understandable for lynching is if the guy killed someone in the process of stealing the phone.

Whats the difference between the slaughters of our citizens in SA and we being wicked to our fellows down at home
In as much as I know how painful it is to be dispossessed of your hard earned property, jungle justice shouldn't be the best practice in this modern era.
The police be appreciated here for their prompt intervention though at times they could be mischievous and unreliable but for saving the life of this dude they've done well.
Let him face the law for his crime.
If you don't want to do the time, don't do the crime!

We all need a second chance at life. Who knows he might turn a new leaf in jail. Being in jail for 5 years is better than death.
