It is now common to see a supposed Christian say that drinking alcohol is a sin. People erroneously teach this doctrine to their followers, charging them to observe something that Christ, himself, did not teach.

Some preachers have taught that a person should not even touch any bottle of alcohol. They claim touching the bottle would defy such person.

Ask them, "Is Vine not alcoholic?" The would quickly tell you it contains no alcohol.

What does the scriptures say? Genesis 9: 20 & 21 "20. And Noah began to cultivate the ground, and he planted a vineyard.
21. And he drank of the wine and became drunk, and he was uncovered and lay naked in his tent." These verses have clearly shown that Vine is alcoholic.

Jesus actually drank Vine. Matthew 26: 29, "I say to you, I shall not drink AGAIN of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it with you new and of superior quality in My Father's kingdom. The word "again" clearly implies that he used to drink it with them prior to the Last Supper.

Romans 13: 13 and Galatians 5: 21 say drunkenness is sin and not drinking. Paul to Timothy, "Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities" (1 Tim 5:23).

In Mark 7: 15, Jesus said "There is not [even] one thing outside a man which by going into him can pollute and defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him and make him unhallowed and unclean". Verse 19 says, "Since it does not reach and enter his heart but [only his] digestive tract, and so passes on [into the place designed to receive waste]? Thus He was making and declaring all foods [ceremonially] clean [that is, [h]abolishing the ceremonial distinctions of the Levitical Law]."

There is no place in the doctrine of Jesus Christ that forbids a person from taking alcohol. But it lays emphasis on moderation. Thus, anyone teaching that drinking is a sin is in ignorance.

U mordern christains are stuck up with Old Testament pattern of worship.. you want set of rules similar to the 10 commandments to list what you can and cannot do...that isn’t christainity...that’s religion and there’s a reason why it is constantly said that Christianity isn’t a religion but a relationship...a relationship with the spirit of God as Jesus promised.
It is not possible for you to have a genuine relationship with the spirit of God and you will find it comfortable indulging in things that gives too much gratification to the flesh..alcohol is one of those things.... it isn’t water, it isnt meant for survival, it’s for pleasure and it sways the mind cos it a gives us little high even if u are not drunk..let’s not deceive our selves nobody drinks alcohol in tea spoons.

Ive even heard some so called christians say it’s not wrong to go clubbing or its not wrong to smoke, Jesus never said anything about it...Jesus ddnt mention so many things..he couldn’t have mentioned everything, that’s why the Holt spirit was promised..let’s stop all this Jesus ddnt mention it....it’s bad justification to ignore the spirit of God in you.
Jesus never said anything about cocaine either... so please, let’s go ahead and inject ourselves responsibly, in moderation, don’t do drug over dose ooo... just small small...
Christainity talks of freedom in Christ, but that freedom even comes with a higher level of responsibility/ consecration....this is what relationship means..there are some things as christains you shouldn’t even engage in not because it has a tag of “sin” but because it sows unnecessarily to the flesh...and the more the flesh is empowered... u are bound to reap corruption/ destruction Gal 6v8...
If Paul can say if ordinary meat that isn’t a sin will cause my brother to fall, then to eat meat bcomes sin....so why are we looking for where Jesus mentioned or ddnt mention to justify our cravings??

yes, I personally do not like alcohol due to its bitter taste. But, it wouldn't make me preach against it, because Paul even to to Timothy about rightly dividing the word of truth. Paul also said all things are lawful but not all things are expedient.

Stick with *quality red wine*. Not sure if modern alcoholic drinks are safe. Kaikai and other "spirit" may not be safe even in moderation.
