Why is it alarming if it is quicker and more convenient?

Some youth in Kaduna Protested asking for the closure of Kaduna-Abuja train so that everyone must use road.

Speaking to news men the youth said this will make government to arrest the security situation along the road qickly.

Many people are afraid to follow Kaduna-Abuja Road because of fear that they could be kidnapped.

This made Kaduna-Abuja Train Ticket hard to get as the ticket is purportedly being hoarded.

RESTRUCTURE NIGERIA YOUR NORTHERN POLITICAL LEADERS SAYS NO.

ESTABLISH STATE POLICE YOUR NORTHERN POLITICAL LEADERS SAYS NO.

WHY CRY NOW?

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE NORTH IS CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF RESTRUCTURING OF NIGERIA.

YOU NORTHERNERS PREFER TO SLAVE OVER CRUDE OIL FROM THE NIGER DELTA REGION AND LAGOS STATE VAT PROCEEDS THAN BOTHER ABOUT THE REALITY THAT STUCK YOUR OWN VERY PEOPLE UP NORTH.

Now Banditry, Kidnapping have spread across Zamfara state, Kaduna State, Katsina state and some parts of Kano state, Borno state, Yobe state and the endless Boko Haram Insurgency.

THIS INSECURITY HAVE CONTINUED TO DRAIN THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND CONSEQUENTLY THE AREAS THAT IS GENERATING THIS FUNDS WHICH IS THE NIGER DELTA REGION AND LAGOS STATE.

If the Northern Political leadership developed Agriculture to an International standard coupled with Agro allied Industries many Northern Youth will be working in farms but the northern political leadership abandoned Agriculture and they continue to SHAMELESSLY be waiting for crude oil allocation.

Why will the youths not take to armed robbery and banditry since the agricultural companies are not there to engaged them.

The Education of Northern Youth governors of the northern states are failing drastically as most of their young people are not encouraged to go to school.

How then can Northern Nigeria developed given their way of life and the religious belief that have blinded their progress and development?

WITH THE INSECURITY PROBLEM GETTING OUT OF CONTROL IN MOST OF THE NORTHERN STATES, I SEE A POSSIBILITY OF THE REVOLUTION STARTING IN THE NORTHERN PART OF NIGERIA.

The northern youth are getting much aware that their political leaders have been deceiving them for too long.

It isn't more convenient though. I don't know about distance. But they are all over the trains because of the fear of kidnappers.

By stopping the train, govt will secure the road 24/7, since there is no other alternative. Lastly we believe your father & mother were high on pig shit, before they conceived you.

You are getting the whole protest wrong, the rich have hijacked the train. Buying tickets is now very hard as an ordinary person. They are saying since ordinary people don't have access to the trains let it be shut out to all

The only way Government can play their responsibility roles in the maintenance of road and as well curbs kidnapping on Nigerian road is to agitate for the closure of railway lines and as well domestic airlines.

When the governor of Kogi state realized there is no alternative way to go to Abuja. He ordered security operatives to clear all suspected kidnappers along okeni-Abuja road. Today the road is a bit free.

So,, a functional railway system should be shut down to pave way for road transportation simply because it is a way to get government to act on insecurity? Right?
When civilized countries are totally choosing and improving rail transportation to improve revenue,, conserve fuel consumption, and promote tourism..

But then, how can l explain to an aabookkii who only thinks like a suya seller and shoemaker?

Being able to rest and relax on the train is more convenient than having to worry about traffic, accidents or kidnappers. It is certainly convenient.

You buy your ticket, you ride and then you get picked up in Kaduna. I much prefer that.

Close rail for road undecided
. Some of you just rush to comment without proper comprehension of the topic. The protesters are right in what they are saying. If the rail is shut down, the government will act fast to curtail the kidnapping cases along that road since everybody including the government officials will have no other alternative.

Even the train is now breaking down. Last time i followed it, it broke down twice. On one occasion, we spent close to an hour on a spot late in the evening.

As much as I agree that something urgently needs to be done about the crimes taking place on kaduna - Abuja expressway, shutting down the trains isn't a better idea.

It is rather sad that this government is apparently unable to protect its citizens.

I am still shocked that Nigerians aren't protesting everyday in the streets of Abuja.

Since we seem to be fine with it, let us continue. Smh

Bros, l have seen videos of atrocities on that road and l think the only option is rail system..

However, even if the rich had totally hijacked the whole system, shutting it down entirely isn't an answer..

Protest against the hijacking by the rich is OK but demanding for its total closure is not..
