I don't believe this. Helena Hotel has got a good CCTV coverage so it shouldn't be too difficult to get the serial killer. I suspect the hotels he uses are those no star hotels without serious security. So this story can't be true.

There's presence of CCTV camera at Helena.. M nt ruling out the fact that killing happen or nt because most of my friends r posting it but either way.... The thief is trackable

Serial killing or not, Murder is a crime against the State and The police has a religious duty to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.

In cases like this - the Coroner should be summoned.

It’s disheartening that murder cases go unsolved or even uninvestigated in Nigeria.

The whole Police academy should be revamped.

Every police recruit must know all the provisions of the Police Act, Criminal Code and all ancillary Criminal legislations by heart before graduating fr the Police Academy.

Investigative course should be continuous - like every year all police officers must attend to learn new investigative techniques.

Introduction of tech into the Police Statuons, at least starting with the Divisional HQs.

The minimum entry requirement should be an OND...

Ok i get that CCTV is expensive to setup and maintain. I heard a 12-16 channel setup costs almost 100k minus Batteries, TV & hard drives!.
But common what would it cost this hotels to buy a scanner of 10k and insist that evry lodger brings a valid ID card for scanning and record keeping!
I thoroughly agree with the Rivers State police CP that insists that such hotels be sealed and the manager arrested for aiding murder!!!
