Nigeria is plagued with a lot of problems.

One of the big issues is the neglect of its borders.
Wide open borders encourages smuggling. When goods are smuggled into the country, Nigeria loses a lot of money in uncollected tariffs.
Also, open borders allows bad people to just walk across from other countries. These bad people are said to carry out all kinds of criminal acts, which affects the nation's economic development.

If Nigeria is serious about security and wants to grow as a nation, a wall must be built on the border.

China has a wall around its entire 21,000 km border.
Nigeria's border is a mere 4,000 km.

Time to start thinking about building Nigeria's borders.
