"People call me Iya Dawoud and selling fruits is my family tradition in Ilorin, Kwara state. In fact I was born into it. When I arrived in Lagos 40 years ago as a newly wed and didn't know what business to do, I decided to continue with fruits. I started with hawking but I have been selling at this spot for almost 20 years now. With this business, we trained our four children in school. They all have good knowledge about fruits business, but I encouraged them to go into different trades.
My fruits are blessed because 'Esogbewa' is our name. Even Doctors in this area recommend our fruits because they are fresh and chemicals free so they don't cause stomach aches."
