WHY PASTOR TUNDE BAKARE MUST NOT BE NOMINATED AS VICE PRESIDENT

It is no longer news that Prof Osinbajo has been found culpable of corruption (i.e. financial mismanagement of the funds received from Tunde Fowler (FIRS) and the funds budgeted for the Social Investment Programs---school feeding, trader moni and market moni). His honeymoon is effectively over (please see THISDAY article below). Thus, he is on his way out of the Presidency. In search of a replacement, the name of Pastor Tunde Bakare is being bandied. In order not to make the same mistake the Buhari made by nominating Osinbajo as VP which has now turned into a catastrophe, here are 10 reasons why Pastor Tunde Bakare must not be made VP while any other moderate Yoruba Christian should be nominated:

1. Backdoor Christianization Agenda: Nigeria is a multi-religious society where religion plays very important factor. It is aberration that a Pastor will be made a VP in a country where Muslims are in comfortable majority. Bakare’s first allegiance, just like Osinbajo, will be to his church. Buhari was blackmailed by Christians into nominating Pastor Osinbajo. The same must not be allowed to happen. Pastor Bakare is a threat to Islam. He will turn Aso Villa into a Church and embark on subtle Christianization agenda just as Osinbajo as done. Osinbajo sidelined all his aides except those who are members of his church. We cannot allow another closet Christian extremist into the corridors of power. Nigeria is not a church and should not be turned into a pulpit.

2. Bakare is a hater of Muslims and Islam: At the 2014 National Conference organized by Jonathan and where Pastor Bakare was a participant. As is customary in government functions, opening prayers are said by both Christians and Muslims. When the muslims were reciting the opening prayer (Fatiha), Bakare protested and said he doesn’t understand what they are saying. Should we allow a Christian extremist who cannot stand his fellow humans from becoming no 2 man. Buhari and the cabal should please think properly before making a second scandalous mistake that will be worse than Osinbajo. This is a country where Muslims girls are not allowed to wear Hijab.

3. Pastor Tunde Bakare is corrupt: Just like Osinbajo, Tunde Bakare is corrupt. Till date, he has never declared open the financial records of his church. He uses the money any how he like. A man that is not accountable to his church members will never be accountable to Nigerians. Tunde Bakare has refused to publish the financial records of the church or account for the management of the tithes, donations and other funds received by the Church.

4. Tunde Bakare is a scam and spiritual business merchant: Just like many pentecostal pastors in Nigeria, their churches are essentially business centres where they milk their congregants. Pope na enjoyment. There is nothing spiritual about a Pentecostal Nigerian church where money is all that matters. Tunde Bakare has been scamming all his tithe payers for years. We must not allow a faith-based merchant in the corridors of power

5. Tunde Bakare is arrogant and overly ambitious: For a man to unilaterally declare that he will succeed Buhari, it tells us a lot of things. The Presidency (Buhari and the Cabal) will be making the biggest mistake of their life if this arrogant fellow is made President. A man who already has his eye on the big prize will constitute a threat to Buhari from day one. He would feel he got there by his own might and power. He will turn on Buhari and the Cabal and devour them like a goat. It has been reported that while Buhari was ill for several months, Osinbajo was scheming to replace him as substantive President in the hope that Buhari will not return alive. Buhari reportedly has the video footages and audio tapes of Osinbajo’s schemings. Faced with a similar circumstance, Tunde Bakare will put the machinery in motion to accelerate his death. The only man who distinguished himself when faced with a similar situation was Goodluck Jonathan—was never in a hurry to replace his terminally ill boss.

In conclusion, the Presidency is free to choose any moderate Yoruba Christian they like but not a Pastor. Nigeria is not a church. The Christians in Nigeria will never allow an Imam or Sheikh to preside over the country. They will scream Islamization to high heavens. Should we allow the ongoing Christianization agenda where Adeboye has promised to turn all the streets in Nigerian into a Church? Please stop it. We call on MURIC, NSCIA, NASFAT, JNI, TMC and other Islamic bodies to rise against this religious oppression, discrimination and Christianization agenda. Stop the nomination of a Pastor as VP.

There are several moderate Yoruba Christians that can be nominated to replace Buhari. There are several former and serving Yoruba Christian Governors, Ministers and Senators. Why a Pastor? Why ?? Why

So you guys really believe these APC gambits to distract Nigerians of the realities on ground? Or is this a ploy to divert attention from the real issues?
How come all these stories around Osinbajo and a faceless cabal just surfaced in the week preceding the challenge of the PEPT "crude"judgement at the Supreme Court? Why are we this naive

How does replacement of Ôsinbajo help alleviate the debilitating poverty in the land? How will the removal of Osinbajo change the fact that government is leading by impunity, disobedient to rule of law, systematic silencing of opposition politicians and the press?
How will the supposed plan to remove Osinbajo curb the renewed surge in activities of the Islamic Terrorists (Boko Haram, ISWAP and Fulani Herdsmen)?

We are being distracted from the real national issues. While our hospitals have degenerated below "mere consulting clinics", our roads are death-traps, municipal electricity power is now on standby supply to generators, our currency is about the worst in Africa, our universities are mere glorified high schools, minimum wage of less than $84 per month is hanging while our senators are hell-bent on squandering N5.5billion, we are busying ourselves with who replaces Osinbajo. Yet VAT is increasing by 50%, banking charges aew being raised. Electricity tariff increase is coming, unemployment is in double digits, etc.

Nigerian youth, please wake up. Who did this to you

I am always amazed when in the 21st century , religion is still a major issue in politics and not capability of the candidate , Nigerian politics will take a better shape if we can scrap regionalization , and Religion , and let the capable man win !
