We really appreciate the on-going construction but Oshodi is where my concern is right now. The new fence will make it easy for area boys to rob and jump to the other side of the fence. The fence is high enough that the people from one side cannot see what's happening on the other side. We were robbed on Friday, in broad day light, before 6pm, we gave the little we saw around (less than 1k). Thank God I hope there's a better plan for that place. |

Which Dangote? Did you read the post at all? Dangote collected the work, but passed it on to Hitech, Tinubu's construction company fronted for him by Lebanese. It's all arrangee. Same thing for Oshodi-Murtala Muhammed Int Airport Road. Lagos State under Ambode arm twisted Fashola that Lagos will execute it, then simply passed it on to Hitech. Hmm... That road may not last the way am seeing it, from the pics OP dispayed am not seeing expansion joints on the road. During hot sunny day, the concrete expands in size so there need to be gap along the road in every 100m stretch so that the concrete won't buckle up and crack. Another lapses am seeing from the pic is that the surface of the road need to be polished. After casting, the surface need to be polished or tarred so that it doesn't wear out from friction of tyres or acidic rain. The polished or tarred surface of a bridge is an example for us to see. 4 Likes 1 Share |

fkj950ax: They construct their roads with concrete in Texas because they get a lot of water from rain just like here in Nigeria. We shouldn't be constructing our roads with tar or asphalt, it's a waste of money and resources because they don't last due to rain water. It's better to build one good concrete road than building 30 asphalt road, it's penny wise pound foolish. 2 Likes |
