Every day we are faced with traffic jams, especially when we go to our working place in the morning. A state like Lagos is still experiencing traffic jams because of the large population of people living in the state.

Many other states also suffer from traffic jams due to poor road quality, poor road planning or roads that are not wide enough to contain enough vehicles. In fact, some of the roads that are not wide enough experience traffic jam caused by trailers, e.t.c

Because we can’t let our cars jump on each other or make them disappear from the path of our own Volition. It is also possible for us to avoid getting ourself entrap in the traffic jam, even though we are still stuck in traffic congestion, there are tips for us to take it.

The easiest way to avoid traffic congestion is to get connected to the people that are already stuck in the jam before you following the route. Well, you may find it difficult to reach out to people already stuck. Using HotSpot Safety App can easily help you to know the areas where there are traffic jams, robbery, fire outbreak, e.t.c and easily you can report even if you find yourself in it and wish to save others that are on their way to the route.

Take a Snack
You have to wonder how fast the time will go and how distracted you will be when you are constantly chewing something.
Not surprisingly, street vendors are present on all routes. They’re probably making a big profit from your misfortune.

Don’t let it get to you
It’s very easy to get angry when you’re in a traffic jam.
So keep a positive mind and accept the situation as it is. Fear won’t change your car on a plane.
It is also best not to respond to the drivers of the “yellow bus” because they have a reputation for provoking drivers. React with indifference and stay happy.

Make Yourself To Be Cool
Many people don’t know the importance of air condition in a car until they find themselves stuck in a fiery traffic jam under the hot temperature.
Absence of air condition in a car or vehicle can cause frustration. If your car is not equipped with AC, you should always recognize the light. Light fabrics and light colours help reduce perspiration.

Check your car regularly
Do you know what’s worse than beating your car? His car was disrupted in traffic, followed by insults from equally frustrated Nigerians. Prevention is better than cure. Always make sure you let your car run as well as you can before you hit the road.

Have an excellent playlist
You should always have a playlist that can get your soul from the deepest gutters. Copy a CD or use an MP3 if the car has this function. If you take public transport, make sure you have headphones connected to your phone.

Nice tip. In addition, reporting a traffic congested route on Radios and that your App, could salvage the jam as more people will start averting the route.

On twitter, we all know GidiTraffic is the king of it all.

Only in Nigeria you would find a traffic jam, but instead of government to fix the road causing it or build a fly over, they would pass one way and start flogging everybody along there path

First of all if you are white collar and in employent and in the service industry you simply cannot escape it.

But of you can fashion your enterprise around production, location and embrace technology like I do then you can significantly cut down logistical challenges such as road transportation/traffic issues.

In a nutshell I outsource everything that has to come to me and I stay in one place per set time. The latter is a security strategy from experience working in the Delta.

Embrace technology to remain sane. Don't be a herdsman roaming all over town.

Get a two-wheeler (motorcycle or bicycle) and filter traffic to work. If enough people do this, traffic jam will be a thing of the past in Lagos. But this is nigeria. Everyone wants to buy cars to show off to their family and friends. Be different.
