The people that are BOOK SMART (we call them efiko and even demonise them), we stereotype them as clumsy and timid- NOT STREET SMART. The ones going about their businesses jejely are not left out from the above stereotype.

That is why when we go to countries where normal humans are, we complain it is slow, boring...etc. We have to relearn to live, because we have only been existing/surviving in the jungle we hopped on the plane from.

Exactly. I could remember while teaching for a particular school. I authored a practical workbook for the students only for the supervisor to tell me that such is not allowed in the school. Only to my surprise, 3 weeks after, she bought similar workbook from outside for students to use. That is the first time the school will introduce it to the students_something of my idea. My question is why did she refuse mine? Up till now I have been unable to figure out the answer. Nigeria or should I say a black person is very wicked than devil.

Truth is, if you study history properly you will notice that 59 years is shockingly a short period. Even a hundred years, therefore the time is very short to argue why we still have a western influence on Nigeria after independence.

It took the Spaniards more than 700 hundred years to reconquer Spain from the Moors and Muslims. It took the Turks over 400 years of repeated attacks and determination to capture Constantinople i.e. current day Turkey which was once the heart of Roman/Western civilization and it took the Western world over 500 years of Crusades to give up trying to recapture the Middle East from Islamic civilization

You need to understand certain things. The period from independence till date is quite short and Nigeria like most African countries is still passing through neo-colonization. African was practically structured to malfunction as it supports Europe Most Africans like the OP do not want to hear this, therefore ultimately they want to remain where they are, undeveloped.

For Nigeria to develop, Nigerians need to understand basic things and face it. One, current Nigeria is a phase in the final set of things. We need to make a decision about what we want. This means, do we need Nigeria or not. How do we need Nigeria?

We need to understand our challenges and dynamics. We have external and internal challenges. Internally we have very strong entrenched powers that have a goal to maintain their power, wealth and influence. It does not matter if we all perish. They control the government, civil society and are everywhere. To them, Nigeria is a milking ground to use for personal gain, their children are not here and the throw crumbs to the rest. Those who are lucky to catch a few crumbs start shouting Nigerians are lazy yoots, Nigerians are study. They forget they were lucky to catch the crumbs.
Externally, we have foreign powers who are majorly interested in our natural resources. This means they want control over these resources therefore it is to their interest that people who will ensure their control are always in position and further, we must not be able to develop enough to start using them but must export it to them raw so as to reduce costs. The meeting of these two forces is the major problem of Nigeria and other African problems.
Yes, it is our fault we have not yet overcome them, but it does not mean we are stupid. It means the time is actually short from independence to think we can do much and we still have much articulation to do. In order to overcome, we may just need to dissolve Nigeria.

Moral teachings, and civil rights movement, values was based on Christian religion.

in every developed country of the world, you need only 2 set of people to develop the country, The Booksmart and the Entrepreneurs

The Booksmarts ( politicians and bureaucrat) create good laws and regulations while the entrepreneurs create jobs for the masses

both group work together for the good of a country but i guess in Nigeria it doesnt work like that.

1- exon, shell chevron help us drill crude/gas and also steal from it. Their refineries also convert it with crude along with indian refineries ( our refineries were from the french and are dead now). There is no oil in netherland but shell from the same country brings in billions from overseas

2- as we no get light we have to use generators from perkins(UK) and some asians ones- if we had light is there any market for those guys

3- cocoa from west africa is converted into billions of chocolate in the west and asia( if we had chocolate companies here would it benefit west?)

4. All the other things we import nko Does it not benefit them
