This is to inform Government Collage Makurdi the class of '95 of the tragic & untimely death of our classmates PRINCEWELL TERHEMBA IYO who serves with the Nigerian Army, 82 Div Enugu but deployed to Maiduguri as a special force to combat the insurgents, Boko Haram in Borno State.

Until his death, TERHEMBA IYO came home (Benue) on a two weeks pass (break) inorder to continue work on his personal building and relocate his mother & make her more comfortable.

PRINCEWELL TERHEMBA IYO left on the 8th of September, 2019 with the hope to return & complete the building, he was killed in a fierce attack in Borno State on the 12th of September, 2019 & his decaying remains found 5 days later on the 17th September, 2019.

According to reports, his colleagues retreated & whispered to him to do same tactically, of course due to insufficient armoury to sustain the long engagement at the war front with the Boko Haram.

As a soldier that he is, you have to obey the last command even without ammunitions.
He is survived by his wife with Two kids & an aged mother. LATE PRINCEWELL TERHEMBA IYO was the only son.

Don't call AK ancient many world power countries still use it and in combat, AK is still rated best assault riffle. It's more reliable, doesn't jam, easy to reload and can fire even in mud.

I gave up on the NA when a returnee from the fight against BH told me that apart from the fact that they were under-equipped, ordinary drinking water for the real soldiers doing the fighting was a problem.

He even told me how one of their oga at the top came to request for bathing water from the tank of water which was meant for them (field soldiers) to drink from when they were still struggling and clustering around the tanker to get a drink out of it.

Funny enough, these ogas are served their own drinking waters in bottles along with soft drinks even though they ain't the ones doing the real fighting.

That's a clear depiction of the relationship between the Nigerian political class and the masses.

Someone hasn't gotten enough water to drink but the one who has enough to drink wants to take his bath from the little the other person wants to drink.

This is why i refused to join the force and this is the reason why i would never join the force, if you ask our generals today what is the source of bokoharam strenght?they dont know, if you ask what is BKH weakpoint ? They dont know, what kind of battle are they fighting? Is it intermal(amomgst themselves)?is it only external? Or is it offensive or defencive war ?they don't know, some generals are BKH, the poor NCO's know but they are too scared and concerned about the allawance they get to take any serious actions, even with the fact before them, A soldiers duty is to protect his country and that means he has the right to eliminate even a general if the soldier has gathered enough evidence that the general is an impostor, as a soldier your service is to your country not only your generals or commanders, the oat you sware and attestation you took gives you the right to friendly fire in such instance even if it leads to court marshall. These chameleon generals lead this young men to early death, A general and commanders job is to minimise casualty or prevent casualties on battle feild by suggesting better strategies, but i don't think this is happening in our military, the coruption in the military eats deep than in the civilian setting, we have only few real soldiers left, most of them who enroll only did that for salary.NCO's need to wise up and start cleaning up these messed up corupt generals that keeps feeding them to the beast.if not they would continue to die patheticly.

They are never Fully Kitted.... Our soldiers are poorly equiped.
