Lekki is at sea level... unless the government installs pumps, water will drain very slowly from street into ocean.

The first time I saw Giethoorn, breezes of pleasant thoughts flowed about in my mind. What a beautiful sight to behold. Life is filled with beauty and marvels. After a while, I let go of the sweet thoughts and views, and accepted the fate that Nigeria may never meet up with some places in the world.

But sooner than I expected, my assumption was proved wrong. Now, i can boldly say Nigeria is getting there.

If the Netherlands have Giethoorn, today, Nigeria also has places we can call our own Giethoorns.
More waters on our roads. We are gradually getting there.

The days are fast approaching when Nigerians will also use canoes on the roads and swin from one place to another like Giethoorn.

I think the lekki flood is majorly due to poor planning. No proper waterways for free flow of water... The rich also cry... No be only ikorodu waka come

Those brown roofs are the heritage of the erstwhile largest city in africa. In fact, Keeping those historic, picturesque views is highly commendable because those who owned those houses were the rich and mighty in their time, when about 80% of house roofs in nigeria were made of bamboo

At least the flood and traffic issues in Lagos will stop people from trooping to Lagos and reduce Lagos population.

I wish half of Lagos population will troop to Abuja and give us fresh air in Lagos
