Wow... They need to outsource the department to the same people that handle UNN transcript requests. So prompt and easy to use. Now they also offer softcopy transcripts emailed from the school's official email at a very much subsidized price.

UNN may not have gotten everything right but they sure try for this one

They are the most useless transcript office ever. I tried to get my transcript from there 4 years ago.i went there almost 10 times because I was trying to process admission abroad. It took me up to 6 months. It was only after I bribed someone in the office that they started processing it. They work in that office based on who pays them bribe and not on first come first serve. Yeye people.

I think UNILORIN has one the most efficient admin system in university administration. Once confirmed for graduation by the senate, your statement of results automatically comes out and you can apply for transcripts immediately (students). when convocation (october) takes place your original certificate is ready. The original certificate comes along a students transcripts while official transcripts when applied for alongside courier service charges won't take more than two weeks including delivery. Though I have my reservations about UNILORIN but I must admit their Admins system is among the best any Nigerian university can offer. I'm speaking as a former postgraduate student (MSC). The only thing that would make you hate the UNILORIN system, are their outrageous charges when graduating.

My applications for my first degree transcripts wasn't funny. I haven't even collected my original certificate while my masters original certificate is with me. I had to collect the official copy myself and deliver it to the postgraduate school after travelled down to the university, slept over with mosquito feasting on me plus cold and rain before getting it.

UNILORIN has affordable school fees, efficient admin , very reliable school calendar but a glorified secondary school.

I am surprised that it's that bad in Unilag. UNN is bae, three days and your transcript will be sent via DHL to wherever you need it.

I requested for my transcript since October 2018, nothing till date...I couldn't go on with the admission process then....am on another though in this month again....my status is still showing received.
I sent mail using the previous mail thread, nothing yet....it's so frustrating....

I also applied for my transcript to be sent from university of Calabar to Fut Mina. I applied since the 29th of August, this is 23 Oct, the transcript has not gotten there.

Aside trying to collect double payment from me, I had to beg a course mate of mind that works at unical to go to there registry for me after a month of waiting. That was when I found out that the woman who was supposed to sign my hard copy transcript nd send it to ict for digitalization went of leave. So basically my transcript was stuck on her table.

I had to beg my cousemate to help me talk to a guy in that office which we paid 4k to take the trascpit to ict. Meanwhile, if I had not called that my coursemate, the transcrit would be there till she came back from maternity.

Now the transcript t has been at ict since then and till now am still on the battle filed with them. According to them, it was dispatched on Friday last week, and till now, no delivery news.

That not talking about the double payment they tried collecting from me calming they can't refund me. Thanks to Interswitch. Godbless them.

I have also paid 25k courier fee for the past 2 weeks now no update.. I went there yesterday and was told that they often have to send them in bulk to save cost I guess. I have been told they only attend to people on tuesdays and thursdays for such issues.

It usually takes about a month, when I applied mine was delivered in 3 weeks and some days.

Mine is more than 3 wks now. why are they collecting money for transcript verification/confirmation. Too bad. Extorting money from people just to confirm the transcript sent by you. It got to stop!!!

I work in a University and I understand the procedures.
The highest time an academic transcript should take is two weeks... that’s the practice here in LASU..
But if it exceeds that two weeks believe me the people who should work on it didn’t do it, probably because they want you to settle them because they know you will comeback.
Some of them were set up sometimes ago. They were caught they faced a disciplinary panel and were sacked.. since then the staffs are very careful because they don’t know who is who..

I paid 7k plus in April to have my transcript delivered to one UK educational body. They didn't deliver. They didn't mail me. I mailed them like more than a month after only for them to tell me the address is invalid, they didn't say that before o, they waited for my mail.
They are not even replying to my request for refund as time has passed already.

Now I need my student copy, I can't get it. The student portal is not well set up.

And the record mail they gave out, the people on the receiving end are not competent at all. Imagine them telling me to goto FAQ and m apply from there.

I need my transcript before next week and I don't know what to do.

Went to unilag they said they don't attend to people on transcript issue, it has to be done online.

Please who else is having issue with unilag transcript. Share your experience let's make this go viral

No, manually, through the exams and records unit. It took them a week to get my department to forward my details to them, another one week to put the transcript in place, and the last week was consumed on the courier. I paid 5k then but it is now 7k if the transcript is to be sent to another institution.
