Kiss Daniel was the best alternative to Reekado Banks but Reeky still made a deserving winner. However, the worst case of Next Rated remains Sean Tizzle. 2013 had the second most competitive Next Rated line-up in the history of Headies (the Wizkid year remains the most competitive for me) as we had Burna Boy, Phyno, Seyi Shay and Dammy Krane and the least deserving Tizzle won. That was an embarrassing win. They should better not create such mess tonight

Really Tizzle least deserving on what grounds pls?You mean he is less talented than Dammy krane and seyi shay?or Burna boy or phyno had more buzz lol?he deserved the next rated award then abeg well deserved he is one of the most talented of the nominees and he had big hits so what are you talking bout I’m not even a big fan of Sean Tizzle but leave story abeg!he earned his award and he capped it all up with a very good album the journey which spurned more hits!anybody could fall off it happens in sports and entertainment and it happens in life has well so the fact that he fell off does not make him undeserving of the next rated award at that time!

I dont like how this naija artists are not in this show,why cant we just put our hands together and make this headies award global,this is the only big award platform in nigeria,yet its being killed off gradually. BET,grammy,mtv awards all started from the bottom,no wonder this country can not progress,we are selfish and wicked people,can everybody win, no! This award was killed off during don jazzy and olamide saga,after that,this our yeye naija artist start to boycott it, only God can save this hopeless nation

Nobody forced anyone to stay up and watch the award. If it’s boring please change the channel or sleep. Nobody expects the Headies to be perfect but comparing it with the Grammies or MTV is a joke. I personally have my grouse with them especially as it relates to the date. What will they have lost if they had shifted this award to a different date especially as it clashed with Wizkid’s festival at the O2? What’s an Award if the Awardees ain’t present to collect their awards? Back then Artist fight to even be nominated and such Nominations is always a talking point. I think the Headies needs a stiffer competition to bring their A game. Sound city Awards and even Afrimaa are no better anyways
