Is Igbo Language Going Into Extinction? by kenechukwufrank: 5:38pm On Oct 21, 2019
The Igbo language is the language identified with the southeastern people of Nigeria, it represents the cultural value of the Igbo tribe. It is estimated that over 20 million people speak the language and that it has about 20 dialects.

The variety in their dialects makes the language all the more appealing. For many years, before the inception of the English language, Igbo was the sole means and language of communication between our forefathers.

However, there are many schools of thought that believe this language to be slowly going into extinction. UNESCO stated that in 2050, the language would no longer be in existence.

very true.

wessex yale oxford Saxon welc were diff kingdoms with diff languages now they re all English men. they re still evolving they have added the celts and others now they re British. United kingdom is still growing that's how nations re born. it takes a very long time.

instead of Africa to expand like other people they kept running away from each other and establishing small small kingdoms, kingdoms so small that an army of just 100 men can obliterate.
that was how esan, etsako, etc. left benin kingdom to form what ?

igbos re the worst in this.

even big empires instead of triving the shrivelled up.

hence when the brits came they picked africans like beans on a tray. no real nation to resist them, this was how the african trouble started. imagine bringing igbos jaws bini hausa to form a country. within 50 yrs. something it took the english men a thousand years to accomplish. y we go move forward.

lord kush so opine.
