Mine happened years back...when I was still a student. I was in year one then and it was on the day of our induction, when we'll be formally introduced to the department.

My HOD, Professors, Docs...my fellow year one coursemates, final years and excos etc in the department were all present...

So as the program went on, our association (Dept) president said it's time for some entertainment and that if anyone of us has a joke to keep the athmosphere lively he should come and get the mic.

Everyone's eyes was glued to me as though I was some weird creature that just crawled out of the grave...my hands were shaking as I grabbed the mic, I was sweating all over, my voice trembled and I began to stammer...I was wishing that the earth should just open up and swallow me. The only achievement of that calamity is that it made me popular in the department...all the lecturers, my HOD, even girls all knew me. Even though I failed woefully at comedy I became a local champion.

It was my birthday, so I was obviously the best dressed in class for that day. We had Law lecture that morning and the lecturer is extremely strict and also fond of throwing questions at students, so majority usually run to the back seats or seat outside to avoid being called, but unfortunately for me that day, I sat on the second row with a not so close friend of mine. During the lecture, my friend started dozing and it was so hilarious, but I kept cool and ignored her, tho I woke her up few times. So when the attendance was passed to her, I noticed she held on to it for long...then I looked to see what was taking her so long, only for me to see that she had written rubbish and also drew rubbish on the attendance sheet because she was sleep-writing and to top it all, she started dozing in a way that her head was about hitting the table hard.....I couldn't hold it, I busted out into laughter and that was how I got the lecturer's attention, who was pissed at the moment and decided to pass all the aggression on me. He asked me a question about his last statement, which obviously I didn't pick because my friend was entertaining me with her dozing skills lol the lecturer went on to ask me how I passed my JAMB, even asked me my scores and so many embarrassing questions.....I felt like running out and never returning back to the school....it was so bad!
