Seven (7) DEADLY MISTAKES PARENTS MAKE BEFORE THEIR CHILDREN

1. USING ABUSIVE WORDS

yes as simple as it sounds, using abusive words on children demoralises them and make them feel they are less important. Some parents because they have being greatly provoked by their children or someone else begin to lay courses on their children like: you will die, God will punish you, idiot, goat, mumu, thunder fire you, your children will do to you what you are doing to me etc. All these words demoralises the children and make them loose connection (love) with their family.

2. NOT PRAYING FOR THEM

A good parent prays for the success of his child. No father with a reasonable mind can ever pray for the downfall of his child. Parents who fail to pray for their children, do not want the progress of their children and it negatively affect them.

3. QUARRELLING WITH NEIGHBORS

Some parents stop their children from greeting their neighbours because they had little misunderstanding. When this is done and or achieved, it makes the child to develop hatred for the neighbors. And this by implication makes the child feel the same way for people around him.

4 HAVING SEX BEFORE THE CHILDREN

This is another sacrilege which must be averted. Some parents who feel that their children are still young and don't know anything, carelessly kiss, romance and even have sex before their children. It has to stop because children learn by what they see and by the time this is done, they try to practicalize it with anybody around. This is why you will sometime notice your child would want to kiss you or like you both to get involved in romantic situations. Therefore, avoid kiss and sex before your children and also avoid discussing topics suitable for adults in the presence of the children.

5. PARENTAL ARGUMENTS BEFORE THE CHILDREN

This is yet another sacrilegious situations that must be averted. It is true that no single family is perfect but it will help a great deal if you can make your children believe that your family is the greatest in the world. This can only be possible when you stop arguing with your partner in their presence. Pretend as if nothing was happening when they come around and try live in peace with them.

6. COMPARING THEM WITH THEIR MATES

Some parents form the habit of comparing their children with their mates, some even go to the length of denouncing their children because they are not rich like their mates. They make them feel inferior by telling them that their age mates are married or richer than they are. And this sometimes make the child to want to involve himself into illegal activities just to make money and also make their parents proud.

7. SPECIAL TREATMENT

Another behavior parents exhibit before their children is showing special love to a particular child and living others to the mercy of no affection. This can result to hatred among siblings. Everybody should be loved and treated as equals and this will help promote family peace and living together.
