He should sue that university if he has some evidence to the allegations he accused the institution. But if he doesn't, then his move was a foolish one, and i hope he had it coming...

Now, no school will want to admit such a character!

He was invited to a Disciplinary Committee meeting but couldn't substantiate his allegations.

We all know funds are being misappropriated in many institutions, and not just in academic institutions. But, if you want to be a sort of a whistle-blower, you need to have evidences.

He messed himself up.

No wonder Nigerians can’t protest bad governance, if students can be expelled from voicing opinions.

That useless VC should be sacked.

Kudos for your stand!

You all saying that the expelled student shouldn't have said what he said without modification are cowards! He has sacrificed his chance of getting a degree for others to enjoy the benefits of those issues he raised (only if they would fix the problem)

A suspension wud have been appropriate. Expelling the guy for this is way too harsh unless they are actually guilty of what he stated.

I salute the courage of this student.
He has done what many our cowardly elders refuse to do while Nigeria was rotting away.

Some of you laughing at him for being expelled, are you certain that you will have a brighter future
with your degree?

Ride on comrade.

God bless you!

The guy over talk, This is Nigeria and all these are not new. I'm a graduate of the school and nothing that goes to the School's Disciplinary Committee comes out well. And it's a lesson to all, one should have concrete evidences while putting forward allegations. See Atiku and Bubus election case.

Have Nigerians not gotten the memo that they now live in pseudo-dictatorship? I am shocked that they are shocked about these kind of news.

He ought to have known better. Universities detest bold students
That decision is totally flawed.
If he takes the school to court, He will be reinstated. Nigeria Senate panel does not obey the rules of fair hearing. And on that ground alone, He will be reinstated.

Yes. He has good case but he is not wise. He should have involved a lawyer from the beginning

“This is what you get when people who if managing a poultry, would make sure eggs are stolen, are given a University to manage.

“It is rather unfortunate that we have accepted the sad reality that relegates our ‘scholars’ to chasers of political appointments – people who are ready to lick butts to be made INEC returning officers, Political Aides, VCs , Directors, Deans and even Head of Department....Ifemosu is entirely right here, that's what our university Dons have turned into and won't succumb to FG IPSS.. lecturers doing PP and
seeking administrative post instead of research

I feel the epxulsion decision was too steep but he brought this upon himself. You're in school to study, get your degree and vamoose not challenge school authority, even implying that they are thieves

Who doesn't know about the misappropriation and mismanagement of funds going on in our higher institutions? Na only get fingers to type "long long English" (in Mercy Eke"s voice). I feel for him but he brought this mess upon himself
I will rule your type so that you cantraise your voice when things going from bad to worst.

From the responses here, it shows how deep Nigerian youth have sunk. Shallow thinking and no sense of dignity as a citizen anymore; the so called youth especially on this platform.
This is the only reason why the "rulers" in Nigeria oppress the citizens as they know nothing would happen.
The youth have no future except for the very few previledged yet they are contended with peanuts from the government.
This is the kind of opportunity for the youth to stand at least for once with one of them to send a signal to the rulers that they can take their destinies in their own hands. Instead they are castigating him and rationalising his expulsion.

Saying the truth is now a crime in Nigeria, the people blaming this guy for this courageous step are the real enemies of development and democracy. For God sake, we are in democratic setting, its not bad at all to air your view.
Welcome to Nigeria where people celebrate idiocy, corruption based on tribalism and party affiliations.

Do u know in court of law in any nation, thr is punishment for false accusations? Do you know that similar case like this was posted on social media last year about a graduate and a lecturer in lautech? That even thou the guy had graduated, for not be able to come and substantiated is claims, his certificate was suspended and remains invalid till now?
There is no punishment for a false allegation even though laymen believe there is.
And from his letter, it is impossible to prove any of his points wrong.

"Buhari is a bad president and incompetent" is not a false allegation.
But "Buhari stole $90 billion" may or may not be false.
Even if it is false, the court cannot convict any suspect for "false allegation".

Smart move done wrongly.

We all know of the rot but don't accuse, especially openly, if you can't prove.
