One of our clients in the non-profit space who in the last 3 years has been at the forefront of advocating and addressing Humanitarian & Basic Needs Crisis such as Socioeconomic Crisis, Safety & Protection Crisis, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Crisis, Health Crisis, Nutrition Crisis, Clothing & Shelter Crisis etc of the poorest and most vulnerables in the society currently requires the services of a Volunteer & Commission- based Partnership & Fund Raising Officer to join her Team

Job Title: Volunteer Partnership & Fund Raising Officer

Location: Lagos

Type: Part Time / Full Time

*Fundraising Strategy and Research*

· Working with Executive Director to plan and implement an effective fundraising strategy.

· Identify funding opportunities and prospects by conducting in-depth research as required to identify for example Heads of CSR and Marketing Departments, the size of their respective budgets and their giving strategy / focus.

· Conduct market insights into the corporate, foundation and public sector donors in Nigeria

· Secure meetings with potential donors.

· Raise funds for the organization.



*Fundraising Delivery Including Communications*

· Make contributions/inputs towards funding proposals and applications

· Follow up with donor prospects via telephone calls, Whatsapp & emails

· Responsible for delivering of physical hard copies of applications and proposals to relevant potential donors, partners, individuals and corporates

· Develop relationships with old and new donors; deliver fundraising pitches where necessary

· Responsible for closing deals with donors, partners, individuals and corporates on behalf of the foundation.



*Records and Account Management*

· Maintain a current database of potential donors and partners

· Process draft contracts for relevant partnerships ensuring they capture all elements of the partnerships and outline clearly all partner responsibilities and benefits.

· Monitoring of contract database to ensure up to date records at all times.

· Responsible for account management and benefits delivery to donors and partners.

· Follow up on invoicies and payment schedule from partners and donors.

· To form key relationship with relevant corporate institutions, Government, Foundations and Individuals.

· Ability to work independently and remotely with little or no supervision.

· Ability to take initiative/self starter.

· Ability to work effectively base on schedules.

· Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to follow through.

· Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills.



*Qualifications*

· B.Sc / HND in relevant course

· Minimum of 3 years cognate experience



*Skills And Knowledge*

· Knowledge of Microsoft office.

· Ability to work with Google Drive

· Social Media proficiency

· Tech Savvy



*Fundraising Skills*

· Knowledge of sponsorship and partnership funding landscape in Nigeria.

· Knowledge of trends and best practice in sponsorship and partnership fundraising.



*Communication Skills*

· Writes clearly and persuasively taking into account audiences’ requirements.

· An ability to present credibly (both in writing and orally to internal and external stakeholders.

· Strong organisational and research skills.



*Experience*

· Experience of research and identifying funding opportunities.

· Experience of working with corporate sponsors.

· Experience of working with donor agencies.
