Oga, that man is a taxpayer and a citizen of his country with the protection of the constitution. Are you trying to intimidate him? He has his free speech and the right to criticize those directing the affairs of this country if he spots any anomalies.
Ngigi is not God and no man should be coerced to cower in fear of his fellow human being. Before putting his face out there, he has weighed the consequences and he is by far older than you in age. He knows his coins and he is giving a voice not for himself alone but for the benefit of you and other Nigerians. It is a call for support, not criticism. What he said is absolutely right. Many presidents and politicians in the world take buses and stand in queues.
Esseite gave you the best reply. You are a killjoy. You have a bad heart. Ngigi is a known embezzler and a conman. Why should a reasonable person be defending crooks who should be in jails? Is 30,000 naira reasonable of pay to a Nigerian who has oil in his home? How much is transport alone to talk of feeding and then rent in Nigeria? How can a man sustain his family on 30k monthly income? And, Ngige will not accept that if he were paid the same.
If you can justify the provision for ministers to fly business class, why not justify the provision for meaningful pays for other fellow citizens like Ngige? See things in the right perspective.

You spoke for many of us, thanks a lot.

PDP was bad, but APC is not different.

To think your party, which is supposed to champion transparency, morality and uprightness, is now being compared to PDP! Now that's a very bad sign. It means you guys are now as dirty as PDP. So, where is the integrity you preached?

And Mr chicken did what many of the cowards online will do. Did nothing, and probably exchanged pleasantries with the minister on the flight, then come to internet to cry. He even took the selfie with the minister not being aware.

Nonsense.

Exactly my thoughts. OP, you're all oppressors. Why didn't you fly economy and bless somebody with the balance? If you're a Minister, your type will fly with a chartered business jet.

I don't think it's a crime for a minister of the federal republic to fly business class. There are provisions for it.
You can never satisfy human beings. The same person will complain if Ngige flew economy.
For him to have included his face in the picture means that he is courageous and stands to defend his words, not e-rats who hide behind the screen to send unverified messages. Ngige is highly insincere.

All this noise over ordinary 80k per seat? A 30k earner has no business with business class. But a minister earns over 700k a month in basic salary. He can afford it.

N30000 is not meant for a man with family of 4 .

It is the minimum wage for the lowest entry point.

You are not expected to start your working life, married man already with a family of 4!

You raise a family as you progress in life.Any other option is a self inflicted calamity that should not be blamed on government.

In Nigeria,we twist issues just to satisfy our mischief.

Many of our officials are not really mediocre, they just game a faulty system setup by the military. The creation of the 1999 Constitution was overseen by the military junta.

Shut up if you don't have something reasonable to say.

N30k that is one weekend money, that's what a Nigerian earns in one month.

But for you, it's okay for Ngige and his aides to pay N240,000 transport fare for one trip.

olutop:

You say what? have you ever seen a Nigerian complain about our politician flying Economy before, bros talk for yourself.
Though flying in a business class for Ngige is not a bad thing the issue I have with most of them is there insensitivity to the masses plights.

What are you even saying?

Aren't some Nigerians complaining about border closure that saves the country several billions?

Just recently, I argued back and forth with someone on this platform who was against the Ministry of Communication's call to telcos, in view of a possible downward review of data costs.

The young man claimed that telcos were private sector investments and that government had no right to regulate their charges....imagine that! Who benefits from reduced data costs?

That is Nigerians for you. They complain over everything. ASUU is against TSA and IPPIS...can you imagine that?

Nigerians complained about Kyari's delivery of the Deep Offshore Bill to President Buhari in London for assent...they didn't think it was necessary to commend the president, and the NASS, on the landmark bill which stands to earn the country about $1.7billion more revenue, in the next two years. They preferred the pettiness of why Kyari had to deliver the documents using tax payers money to the gains of the documents to the country. Abeg, how much dem dey take go UK?

They even complained that Mamman Daura had his 80th birthday celebration in the UK as though he was using public fund. This is a successful man, by modest standards, who has always had reasons to be in the UK over the past 50 years, including his study time in Dublin in the 60s. Mamman Daura started his study in the UK even before Buhari was able to spend a year in the Army. So, what is the big deal in such a man celebrating his 80th birthday in the UK?

They didn't reason that a private visit by the president is not the same as a vacation. Isn't a private visit a lesser form of a state visit? They didn't think that, by the constitution, the president could be away for 21 days without having to transmit power to the VP.

They didn't recall that the same president transmitted power to the VP two years ago while he was away, on health ground.

Abeg, leave Nigerians with their complains.
