Mixed reactions have trailed Afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy’s proposed performance in Cape Town, South Africa, this news platform has learned.

Burna Boy was included in “The Africans Unite Concerts” scheduled to hold on 22nd and 23rd, November. The concert is a response to recent xenophobic attacks in the country and Burna is expected to donate his earnings from the show to victims of xenophobic attacks.

Concise News reported that South African singer, AKA had told Burna Boy to apologise to South Africans for his comments following renewed xenophobic attacks.

Burna Boy and AKA had clashed on Twitter over xenophobic attacks and the afrobeat star on September 3 vowed not to visit South Africa.

“I will not ever go to South Africa again for any reason until the South African government wakes the Bleep up and really performs a miracle,” the Nigerian artiste said.

However, AKA in a tweet asked Burna Boy to prove he is truly African Giant by apologising to citizens of South Africa.

“Ek se … @burnaboy all we want is an apology. We know South Africa is not perfect. But we took you in as our own before you reached these levels. You say you are an AFRICAN GIANT, prove it,” AKA tweeted.

The development has generated heated debates among fans as seen here... https://www.concisenews.global/2019/11/14/xenophobia-nigerians-south-africans-clash-over-burna-boy-concert/
