President Muhammadu Buhari tells electorates in Bayelsa and Kogi states to exercise their franchise in a peaceful and orderly manner.
The Nigerian president reminds contestants in the elections that just as in all democratic elections, there are bound to be winners and losers in Bayelsa and Kogi polls .
Buhari urges all candidates in the elections to be ready to accept the outcomes of the polls President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, November 14, ordered law enforcement officials to use all legal means in ensuring that ballots are not stolen or hijacked during the governorship elections scheduled to be held in Bayelsa and Kogi states.
The Nigerian president in a statement via his officer twitter handle also implored electorates in Bayelsa and Kogi states to exercise their franchise in a peaceful and orderly manner and in line with the law in all situations.
The president reminded contestants that just as in all democratic elections, there are bound to be winners and losers in Bayelsa and Kogi polls.
He urged all candidates in the elections to accept the outcomes of the polls. Buhari said any candidate that is dissatisfied with the results of the elections should follow the due process of the law in seeking redress, noting that no one must resort to self-help.
