Is God Really Going To Punish Humans For Their Sins? Let's Discuss... by Remman(m): 5:25pm On Nov 16, 2019
Guys, i'm really confused about God. Please help!!!

You know, i see robots in movies everyday and i kind of think we would have been great if we were like robots to God because we would be somewhat superior to God. Robots have no free-will nature, can out-live the owner and can process data twice faster than its owner. Even robots are well taken care of, they're not poor and they don't have to believe in anything to progress.

....confusion....

* Why would God give humans free-will and still punish them for their behaviours or mistakes when he's responsible for giving them the free-will?

* Why would God not take part in the affairs of humans but would punish them if they try to survive by all means even when they have no choice?

I need answers, no abuse please. Thanks!

Hello

I would like to give you an answer. Here's how I see it.

Robots are usually programmed and it is the information they are fed with that they deliver. They don't have any intelligence of their own but instead learn from our own intelligence.

We are given free will. Free will to do anything we want on this earth. To live to eat, to recreate, to enjoy nature to build to develop.. anything. But here's the issue.

We have the will to use our freedom to do good or do bad things. I had a conversation with my mum some time ago. I said why do people think God is bad by punishing the wicked people.

I told her, if we have terrorist, ritualists, kidnappers and even rapists destroying the good things we have on earth. If we could all are to go to heaven, will we want to spend eternity with these same killers. I even made a joke that these people will go to heaven and still consider raping angels.

Witches or black magic people will think of converting angels powers. Corrupt Politicians will think about overthrowing God's government and worse destroy the heavens like they continue to do here on earth.

People on earth commit crimes and they escape the law, the victims are left suffer. If justice is not on earth and there isn't justice in heaven, doesn't it make God as Corrupt as we are.

When we do good, there should be a reward. The same goes when we do bad, there should be punishment. If the simple instruction God gave man was be good and obey my commandments, is it then bad that he punishes those who disobey.

If there is no law, there will be disorder, mutiny, injustice and a lot of terrible vices. God is not corrupt, he is straight forward but we humans are manipulative, we want to bend the rules.

We want to be bad and also still be rewarded without feeling remorse.

That's just my opinion.

considered the parable of the prodigal son. did the father love the son ? yes!! . did this love prevent the son from making decision ? No!!. thus the son make a decision to collect his inheritance and move to a foreign country and find himself in a swamp of pigs. will you blame the father for the decision of his son ? no!!!.

did God love sinners ? yes, did this love prevent the sinners from making decision ? NO. what if the sinner decided to live in sin, died and find himself in Hell ? will you blame God.

But don't you think angels are like robots? They go to where God can't enter (for instance a human cannot see God and live but they can see an angel and live). Why did he still make humans to be free-will and when the result of the free-will turned bad he abandoned us?

Thanks but let's think this way a bit

God made limitless planets and stars. It's a clear indication that he had many failed attempts in his experimentation of best planet that will be suitable for life. Worst still, he didn't destroy the failed attempts after discovering Earth to be suitable. After suffering to make the universe, planets, stars, earth, animals (that probably didn't match the one he should give intelligence) and humans (his final and best animal to give intelligence). He still give us a choice and he didn't participate in any affairs of humans except punishment and reward in an after-life (in a body (soul) we're newly born into, with our human-lived knowledge ~which He made it so). And, worst still, he made the process of believing He exist very hard and complex (by sending prophets through a human's womb ~ hmm~). The world would have been better (corruptless, crimeless, wickedless) if God had lived on earth he created like He lives in heaven with His angels (robots) or appear in the sky and let everyone knows that He exist, if He can't He should at least send an angel to appear like that (which He knows how much such event would save billions of human lives He so claimed to care about). Don't you think we are one of God's abandoned experiments like other planets and asteroids?

Remman. the Bible made it clear that this present life is temporary and secondly when God created the earth He call it Good and NOT perfect. the problems with skeptics rests on invalid assumptions. Based on an invalid understanding of God's foreknowledge, you people seek to avoid the consequences of free will choice by offering a "solution" that violates the perfect
character of God. the assumptions raised by the op is invalid to a loving God.

God chose to make you LIKE Him! Like Him, He avoided Evil.

So How can we, Like Him, not avoid evil as He had done?

Yes, He could have made you a robot, tree, mountain, giraffe.

He who exercises his rights, does no wrong!

You must remember, like you and all your fellow yous, God who you are like, must also have rights.

Lol! Can the creator of a robot abandon and quarel with his own creation when it made a mistake? You're still not getting my point. If you are like God are you ominiscience, ominipresence, immune to disease, or can you live forever, or can you make a planet? Humans improve on their creation when it makes a mistake but God whom you said is like human seem to have abandoned his own creation when they made an error which he is responsible for. Worst still, a huge punishment awaits defaulters.

You'll have to die before you can confirm some idea you expect others to dedicate their life time to?

As long as you sleep better at night, this is good for now. But the day you grow out of fear of being in a hell you cannot prove to actually exist, then you'll know no fear, and at least appreciate that the basis of the Bible and all other religion is ignorance and fear of the unknown.

If you are conversant with AI technology, u will know just how frustrating it must be for the God who created humans.... Freewill allows for the optimization of desired results while allowing for the probability of deviation from any predestined end..

1. God is not responsible for what is happening today. 1 John 4:8 says 'God is love' (not has love, but is LOVE). A loving God is not to blame, then, who is? The DEVIL -- God's ancient enemy, the father of the lie (John 8:44).

What is happening today is a sign of the last days as foretold in the Bible (Luke 21:11, 13). Those who violate godly standards of living do experience bad effects (Gal. 6:7), some people are the cause of their problems.
.
Do you know God has promised to end all these bad living? I incite you to read Ps. 72:12, 14; Dan. 2:44.

Well I believe I am a Christian but this heaven and hell thing is false. We are all here on what we think is called earth to understand the principle of duality.

You see you are here on earth to do whatever makes you happy. That's what God wants from you (to grow)

I have met people on earth with lost memory so when they die what will happen.

Ecclesiastes says the dead are consious of nothing. There is nothing like devil bla bla.

Look at the temptation of Jesus after fasting for forty days The Bible made it clear Jesus was hungry first before devil or Satan tempted him to turn stone to bread ( what if Satan is just flesh desires)

Why did it take Jesus first to be hungry before been tempted. It's all the same things duality.

You are here to learn and grow. We die so that we can understand what life is about.

Some people say when you are about to die you regret the things you didn't do more than things you did. So it means that on your death bed that's when you realize no one would judge your actions

* How can you say He gave free-will in one part and turn to say he left them no choice right after.

My opinion on your first question is simple, works of science had made it clear to us that action and reaction are equal and opposite (for every act man commits, there's an equal measure of reaction i.e karma). Its lazy when we blame God for certain effects of our actions and sometimes inactions, its a grand display of our mental rut.

On the second part sir, permit me to let you know that God is actively involved in every affair of man, from start to finish. He's the author and finisher of all.

.....to make this clean, I will ask you, OP, and everyone this question; What is the nature of God?!

Seek answer to the above and so much will be opened to you. Shalom

If the man goes to heaven. The man has to tell God he has forgotten everything. Lol

My guy forget there is nothing like hell or heaven

If you like science or physics I can refer you to the documentary through the wormhole hosted by Morgan Freeman look for the episode can evil be eliminated

In that series it talks of a cancer that can affect ones brain and a good person every one loves can turn evil immediately.

Example like the ph serial killer what if it's that cancer that affected his brain. So God will send him to hell.

You seem to be compelled to want an afterlife to exist rather than assume it doesn't even as there are no evidences to support this like you claimed above.

Do your findings, persons who claim to have had NDEs which supposes the existence is an afterlife, are those inclined to hoping so. What else do you expect from a dying person whom the oblivion of our final existence stares barely and unpitifully in the face?

If a dejected or traumatised person can have vivid dreams, how much more a hopeful dying one.

The difference between you and an atheist is that they accept that there is no evidence for the existence of an afterlife for humans even if we wish to so believe. Atheists admits this, ends it there without further hopes.

The above is what scares most humans, even atheists. Admiting or hoping for more, doesnt make our apparent end (oblivion) change.

Now this doesn't mean we have to live as wicked or mindless entities. We have such things as right and wrong still.

Hello there.

Judging from your later responses on this thread, I'm not entirely sure if you're asking a question or teaching a doctrine. For example, you consider the multiplicity of planets in the universe "a clear indication" of God's inability to get something right the first time. Since the Bible does not teach this, and you basically take it to be an incontrovertible truth, it seems to leave no possibility that you are wrong or that the Bible is right instead.

Since I am a Christian, and your thread appears to be addressing the Christian faith (because of your reference to free will), my answer would probably be inadmissible to you, if you reject the Bible's authoritative teaching on the matter.

Nonetheless, I wonder if you have worked through this question to reach your own conclusions so far:

"Assuming that your position is correct, what is the right thing to do with a race of human beings who are evil and persist in using their free will to do evil even when they obviously have the capacity to do good?"

As for your second question, as I said, the Bible does not teach that God is uninvolved in the affairs of human beings, quite the contrary, in fact. So I'm not sure I could answer you meaningfully here.
