HOW TO GET YOUR CUSTOMERS TO WILLINGLY GIVE YOU THEIR MONEY
As a business owner, it is important to understand that without customers, your business is as good as non-existent. So this establishes the fact that you need your customers’ money, and they need whatsoever it is that you sell to make their lives easier. But how do you convince these people to buy from you and not from your competitor?
Just as you would find it ridiculous if someone sees you for the first time and starts talking about spending the rest of their lives with you, it is precisely the same way people feel when the first time they come across your business, what they are seeing is BUY this, BUY that.
In normal circumstances, you would expect this person who is interested in you to court you, buy you stuff, make you feel special before you too begin to catch feelings, and finally decide if you want to be with them or not. The same applies to you as a businessperson.
To get your customers’ money, you have to use what you have to get what you want. What do you have that can entice your target customers into buying from you? The answer is your CONTENT, which could either be in text, video, audio, or visual format.
Having content is not enough; you need to know how to strategically feed your audience (including your target customers) with relevant, valuable, and consistent content in whatever format you choose. In doing this, you must also have a clear goal with what you want your content to achieve for you. The goal could be: them asking questions and you proffering solutions, free consultation with you, asking for feedback, keeping them entertained and informed, etc.
All of these goals, in the long run, can lead to sales (if you know how to sell) since you will offer your products or services as the solution to their problems. When you consistently give your target customers what you have in terms of free knowledge, tips, etc., you will not only establish trust with them; they will like and see you as the expert and go-to person for the problems they have.
Don’t be the person who harasses their target customers with products all the time. Be the person who gives them value so you can win their hearts and eventually get their money. What do you sell and what kind of content do you think will appeal the most to your target customers?
