Drilling Engineer

The successful candidate will assist in monitoring and reviewing daily drilling operations and the collation of drilling data for regular reporting. S/he will also liaise with other operational departments for formal evaluation. Geologist

Micropaleontologist / Stratigrapher

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Analysis of Paleogene and Neogene sediments for foraminiferal content and other accessories; will plot species in distribution charts using Stratabugs Geologic software; determine age of sediment using First Down–hole occurrence (FDO), Last Down- hole (LDO) occurrences of age diagnostic and acme foraminiferal taxa; subdivide analyzed interval into biozones using age diagnostic taxa and formaminiferal events; determine paleo-water depth using paleobathymetric diagonistic benthic foraminifera and planktic/bendthic ratios to decipher environment of deposition; delineate candidates (MFSs and SBs) and integrate data with wireline logs and sedimentological for sequence stratigraphic studies; synthesize all above results towards research in basin analysis and paleoecological reconstruction. In addition, the ideal candidate should have a master or doctorate degree in Earth Sciences and should not be more than 40 years of age.


Nannoplanktologist/Strati-grapher

The successful candidate will be responsible for Analysis of Paleogene and Neogene sediments for nannofossils content; plot species in distribution charts using Stratabugs Geologic software; determine age of sediment using Highest Occurrence (HO) and Lowest Occurrence (LO) occurrences, acmes of age diagnostic nannofossils; subdivide analyzed interval into biozones using nannofossil events.; determine palaeoenvironmental deposition of sediments; reconstruction of paleogeographic and paleoclimatic conditions of the basin using environmentally diagnostic calcareous nannofossils; Integrate nannofossils observation with other disciplines of biostratigraphy and geosciences; synthesize the above results to carry out research in basin modeling. Petroleum Product Analyst

The successful candidate will evaluate the appropriate feedstock for a diversified array of petroleum products. Develop new techniques in order to determine the appropriate applications for these products. Determine necessary standard test and procedures that are applicable to these products for the predictability of their behavior. PVT Analyst

The Job:

The appointee will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned plants on a shift basis.

Job Scope:

* Operate the process and service units within the prescribed limits to achieve production targets for quantity and quality, safely and efficiently
* Execute on a daily basis, routine and non-routine operations for the assigned area taking due care to implement all HSE consideration for the activity

NNPC also has attractive short term contract job opportunities for experienced professionals above the age of 40 years but under the age of 50, who possess deep technical expertise in the following areas;

* Geo-sciences - Geology,Geophysics, Geo-modelling, Geo Chemistry, Sequence Stratigraphy.
* Petroleum Engineering – Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Stimulation, Drilling, Well Completions, Production Technology.
* General Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, Subsea Engineering, Rotating Equipment, Gas Engineering, Facilities Maintenance and Project Management.
* New Business Development – Petroleum Economics, Planning and Portfolio Management.

The major role of successful candidates will be to coach and mentor young professionals who will be allocated to them for technical development. In addition, they are expected to function as discipline experts who will play the role of technical authorities in their respective disciplines. .

Successful candidates will be offered contract appointment for an initial period of 2 years, renewable on basis of performance and value created.

i still have issues uploading documents on the site, JPEG and PDF are the chosen file formats but they've refused to upload, can any one in the house give a clue. please?

Nlanders,just make sure the size of the documents scanned is not more than 50kb which is the required size.

Hello house,pls the button for LGA'S is not dropping thus not showing LGA which is a complusory aspect when filling the forms.can someone tell me how to overcum this?thnks

That LGA problem is real, just keep on trying is all i can say, fill the rest and come back to it later on, If the documents are more than 50kb for each , it will refuse to upload it. Thats y its probably not uploading, reduce the size in windows office manager,click on export in the file folder then change the size and save it using anoher name so you'll be able to distinguish it. if it still doesnt up;oad then na system palava. All the very best people!!! p.s Try uploading at night, the network is better then than in the day. It worked for me!!

Files to be uploaded shuld nt be more than 100kb else it wont upload. When ur done, ur application is automatically completed. Thats all.

Silly NNPC, are they telling us that HND holder is not a graduate? That's y they refuse to accept them under GRADUATE TRAINEE. For God's sake, when would this discrimination stop!
