Twerking is a dance. Some cultural dance steps are more sensual than twerk. Yet it was never a problem because people didn't look at it with perverted minds.

Yes you have a point there.

What I am objecting to is the way OP referred to it as "twerking" as if its some alien western phenomenon that has invaded our society and corrupted our Christianity when actually it's our indigenous mode that hasn't been properly regulated.

The person should have written "Lady dances with waist during offering" instead of trying to be political by putting a neo-colonialist slant on it.

How can a native dance that we have been performing since the dawn of time be referred to as twerking The person was just being mischievous.

That kind of language sensationalises the dance even more by adding a foreign element, when really it's our own doing. Such misnomers tend to breed incorrect approaches to issues.
