Ekiti State government on Thursday, December 5, has sacked no fewer than 900 workers of the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Newsflash247 reports According to report, the workers were dismissed by the institution’s management for various offences that allegedly contravene its condition of service. The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Eddy Olanipekun who made this known while addressing newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, said the decision was taken by the institution’s Governing Council in its meeting on December 5, 2019. Olanipekun noted that the decision was in compliance with the reports of an external private audit firm contracted to undertake a holistic audit of the institutions’ staff and finances. People pay fees and think they have a degree while employers will reject you because of sub-standard education and someone would say "na village do you"! Anyone currently studying at this uni here come tell us what its like.
