Please house, of you are diverting a call from a line to another line, is there a charge for this service? For instance you have two lines but a single phone and you are diverting calls from the inactive line say MTN to the active line in the phone say GLO. I want to know if there are extra charges for this. Thanks

No extra charges. It will be like the caller was originally calling the diverted to number instead of the original number he was trying to call.

Call diverts to other lines are charged. Here, the person making the call is charged as well as the diverted line. The only divert that is free is divert to the voicemail.

There is DEFINITELY a charge. The diverted line will be charged for all calls that get diverted. The rate will be whatever it costs the diverted line to call the line diverted to. So, if you divert your MTN line to your GLO line, any someone calls your MTN line (rings on your GLO line of course) and you talk for 10 minutes, your MTN line will be deducted the cost of a 10 minute call to the GLO line. Divert will not even work unless there is credit on the line being diverted. And once the credit is exhausted, the line ceased being diverted to the other line. It may just go to VM in this case, or the caller gets a busy tone or so.

Think about it, if there were no charge then, everyone will be doing it.

What about MTN to MTN?

Same logic. The line that does the forwarding will be charged as if it's calling the "forwarded to" line. If MTN to MTN calls are free, then the same thing applies to the forwarding.
