Nigerian Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has condemned the the Department of State Security (DSS) invasion of a court and re-arrest of Omoyele Sowore, by declining to receive an anti-corruption award days after the incident.

Mr Osinbajo, a law professor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has been criticised by many Nigerians for not commenting publicly on the Friday invasion of an Abuja Federal High Court by operatives of the State Security Service.

In what can be considered his first public statement on the matter, Mr Osinbajo told the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) that he could not receive an award he had been given, few days after the court fiasco. READ FULL STORY HERE

Good one VP Osinbajo. Now push for a severe punishment to be meted to the DG-DSS, all the operatives involved in this despicable impunity, brigandage & lawlessness.Anything short of that another ugly episode will still happen.

Why don't we seek explanation from the DG? Why have we all concentrated so much on the VP? You need not be reminded of his actions when he was Acting President where he sacked Lawal Daura. For now, there is a sitting President and not so much can be done.

When he was Acting President, we all saw what he did to the DSS boss after his men pulled a similar stunt at the National Assembly complex.
Till this day, I bet Lawal Daura never believed he could be sacked.

There is a precedent already set.
