The amended section 10 of the Act stipulates that there shall be “a part-time chairman who shall be a Deputy Governor in the Central Bank of Nigeria to be nominated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.” The AMCON Act also amended the 2010 establishment Act by increasing the powers of the Corporation to recover debts owed to legacy banks. 5 Likes |

Awol1: Tomorrow now you will say that you are educated and intelligent, and why rule of law must be adhered to. Look at a very cogent reason that borders on constitutional provision, how you ignored it and chose to stick to political and ethnic prejudice. You should have told us whether the former occupant of the office is or was a deputy governor of CBN, or better still, another aspect of law that empowered him to still serve in that capacity despite the amended section.
