Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum yesterday appealed to the military to recapture Kukawa Local Government Area from insurgents and restore security to Abadan and Marte local government areas. He said this would expedite rebooting of economic activities in the Lake Chad region.

The governor spoke in Maiduguri when the Minister of Defence, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi visited to assess the counterinsurgency operations
He said: “Under Kukawa Local Government Area, Baga, Cross-Kauwa and Kukawa town itself need to be retaken; there must be military presence and with the resettlement of communities back in these three locations with immediate effect. “This will rejuvenate the economy of this region and it will reduce the menace of insurgency; because right now, we have over 500,000 people in Monguno without doing anything, we have 300,000 in Gajiram who are not doing anything, we have about 150,000 people in Mobar staying idle; this is serious threat to us. They can be recruited by the Boko Haram and this our peace will end if Boko Haram recruit these people in these local governments; and believe me no one can control them.” Zulum further stated: “The road between Maiduguri and Gamboru Ngala is very important to us, Honorable Minister.

There have not been commercial activities going in this road in last 3 to 4 years. “There are no major activities on Maiduguri-Baga Road for the last 3 to 4years…Right now, people are conveying fish to the Republics of Chad and Cameroon; they are taking fish from the shores of Nigeria to these countries and importing it back to Nigeria again,” the governor said. The minister had said the military would redesign the insurgency battle to suit the environment. He assured that the troops would take the battle to the enclaves of the insurgents.

Very funny... As if he will go with them.
Imagine the number of IEDs that would be waiting for them. Infact making such statements in public could make boko haram anticipate the NA moves

If it's that simple they'd have liberated the whole state like long time ago. But sometimes I wonder what the American soldiers are doing that our soldiers couldn't. If it were to be US army fighting Boko haram, they'd have exterminated them since. Because once they beam their search light on a particular terrorist, there's no hiding palace for that terrorist in the face of the earth. Because they'll certainly fish him out.

Just take a look at how they recently fished out Albaghdadi against all odds. But Shekau realises video from time to time taunting the Nigerian army on Nigerian soil without them attempting to do anything.

Seriously, it's shameful for a group of less than 10,000 men to elude the Nigerian army for 15 years in spite knowing their location of operation.

They knew those people about 1 million of them where idle and they did nothing to make their lives better. Now that Boko Haram have come they are afraid they could be employed for terrorist activities. If those people had earlier been provided work to do, it wouldn't have been this bad

Our useless military whose only stock in trade is to intimidate armless Nigerians and wrestle and contest internal security superiority with the police.
Now that thier attention is needed in kukawa they will be pretending like there's no problem over there

They should "recapture" Boko Haram with low morale as a result of moles in government, old fashioned weapons, senior officers making billions from it,and worse of it all, with a government who's unwilling?

Well, there's nothing wrong in you leading them literally, not from your comfort zone.

They should "recapture" with their bare hands.Idiot!

Islamization actuality ___Buhari, Senate president and CJN are synergizing

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, on Monday, gave the clearest indication yet that the Senate would pass a $29.96 billion loan request by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This loan will provide the avenue the Islamists to set up platforms for inflow of Jihadist into the country from the northern borders while the southern borders are denied access to business activities to crumble it economy which will serve as a basis to accepting the Islamic policies to be introduced soon

You are a very silly immature and a toxic human being. You are quick to report people who insult you as if you are holy but here you are stylishly insulting people so they can react and you then report them....you are truly a sadist who derives joy seeing people suffer.... try and change your ways cos the only person your hate will consume will be you...
