This is like a singer like sinach advertising for an oromila festival. ,that the church even deemed Davido fit to be used in a church concert advert calls for concern.

Lolz... Your opinion is not wrong...the church using a secular artist (who is talented but no role model in my opinion) is questionable to say the least.
It's not like what they did is wrong per se, but look at what it has done...and look at the perception a lot of people have about something like that... Just like apostle paul said in his letter to the Corinthians.. "Someone will say, "I am allowed to do anything." Yes; but not everything is good for you. I could say that I am allowed to do anything, but I am not going to let anything make me its slave" (good news translation).
In other words, that something isn't wrong doesn't mean it is something you should do...especially given public perception.
For instance, is meeting your pastor in a bar a bad thing? No...it's not. But how will it be perceived especially by people who have rigid beliefs and people who are "baby" Christians? So the church had a bad PR moment in my opinion... But davido trying to distance himself from the church when you heard the words that came out of the girl's mouth, but you still went ahead and talked about how you "put God in everything that you do"? That's hilarious...he knew what was going on... Maybe he didn't expect the backlash... But he knew...it's either that or he's just dumb!

Rape enabler??!... The discourtesy and poor manners of most of you social media users in this part of the world is saddening, to say the least. What a PITY!!!

Back to the discourse... I neither know nor support coza or her general overseer. I couldn't be fussed in any way if he were convicted... But, I wasn't there when anything happened, I neither know the accuser, nor can I vouch for her integrity... There will always be laws against such, and the laws have laid down guidelines on such matters, however sensitive they are... You can't expect the law or a sensible and neutral individual like myself to simply take the word of the accuser, and convict the accused in the absence of evidence, or at the very least, reliable witnesses or other accusers.

This issue can never be cut and dried, no matter how we rationalize and personalize it... I have simply chosen to be neutral. You should too, except you are personally involved, or privy to information even the court of law is not.

As for Davido's issue with them... That one is quite clear that the church totally misfired and misstepped. I expect them to put forth a statement apologizing to the parties aggrieved... This shouldn't be a big deal.
