And who is asking you to be responsible for everybody. The reason people migrate to Lagos is the same reason people migrate to South Africa, US, UK, Canada, etc, to search for better opportunities. It comes with its good and bad, and ugly. Immigration develops an area and bring in much needed skills and capital, it also creates social tensions in that there are cultural clashes and at worst it also imports criminals along with the skills and capital.

Most state governor's perform better than your Pontius Pilate governor. Your state simply bask in the glory of it's former federal capital territory status. This is why I think you are young and inexperienced. Subsidising houses will defeat the very purpose of building the low cost housing in the first place. Subsidy had failed every single time, because it breeds corruption. The law of demand and supply always triumph.

If the houses are sold at subsidised prices to "omoniles", the omoniles would simply buy the houses and resell to the non indigenes at 3, 4 or even 5 times the price they bought it.

This often happens to lands and properties inherited by indigenes, the children most times sell the inherited properties to non indigenes.
