All I can see from igbos here is the usual personality attacks when they are confronted by the truth

You are inherently pained. Lagos state was developed and investments attracted to it which in turn attracted people from all parts of Nigeria. Ogun state is an overspill of Lagos. You didnt develop Lagos, rather benefited from its location.

Abuja has been the capital of Nigeria for almost going to 30years now and yet it can’t boast of more industries than Ogun state.

The oil boom in the past 30years should have made Abuja the highest revenue grossing state in Nigeria going by the analogy of these mentally handicapped guys online.

From the statistics from NBS, Ogun state still generates more IGR than Abuja and yet some fools think Lagos is what it was just because it was a former capital.

No one is taking the effect of being a former capital from Lagos, but that state is what it is because of the proper planning and foresight of its leaders. Lagos State has been the pioneer of major reforms in Nigeria and it’s just plain stupidity for people to belittle the state effort.

Rivers state should have been in the status of Lagos with its oil and vastness but they have not been able to get reformist leaders like the Lagos connection.

Why do we have to be the one holding you down and why don’t you do things independent of the Yorubas?

Did your representative raise secession on the house floor and the Yorubas opposed it?

If that albino fugitive had not made insulting the Yorubas a duty during his radio Biafra briefing maybe the Yorubas would have been indifferent to your cause.

Lagos was not the capital of the western region then but Ibadan. Lagos was capital of Nigeria since 1914 to 1990 so what do you think Nigeria did with her capital during this time? Nothing?
jneutron4000:
Igbo running down to Yoruba to do business is not to favour anyone rather for them to make profits. Yoruba land has provided an enabling environment for business to strive that why you all are setting up businesses here, your tax has little or no effect on Yoruba land rather your presence here is affecting Y infrastructure due to pressure of high migration. The businesses you set up employs little or no Yoruba citizens because they are usually small scale businesses which are usually buying and selling of all kinds of products such as spare parts, second hand clothing (Okrika) etc. So the migration of Igbos into Yorubaland favours only Igbos and the most annoying part of Igbos migration into Yorubaland is that they commits and are involve in all manner of crimes and criminal activities.
Finally to put a stop in your propaganda, there is nothing serious the Federal government did in Lagos Yorubaland rather most of the Development and infrastructure that the Yoruba government put in place from the taxes generated in all Yoruba land and old western region was taken over by the then Military government and now are controlled by the Federal government example the port was build by the colonial to steal then Awolowo refurbished it with the tax from western region, it was taken over by the Muritala government, the Lagos airport was first built during the WW2 and was reconstructed 1979, with taxes from majorly from western region and the name was credited to Muritala cos he was the head of state, the Nigerian Television Authority( NTA) came about and was built by pa Awolowo, Anthony Enaworo etc in 1959 under the name Western Nigerian Government Broadcasting Corporation (WNTV)) but was taken over by the Federal government in 1977. You and I know very well that almost all what the federal government of Nigeria is in charge of not only in Yorubaland but Nigeria as a whole is a total mess, the Airports are shithole, the federal roads are death trap, federal schools are total failures, going to a federal government hospitals is a suicide mission. So you much be out of your mind to start bragging about what Federal government has put in place in another man's land. Yoruba built and are still building Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Etiki, we are also still trying our best to extend our hand to Kwara and Kogi where we have Yorubas.

What's your fixation on Igbos?

Are they the only people in Lagos?

If you are sincere to yourself you'd agree that Igbo investments in SW would be the highest earner of IGR amongst all. Even your leaders have acknowledged this. Even upnorth, Igbos enterprising spirit is celebrated.

People migrate to where there interests are served. If you are an importer, there's no way you won't have a thing or two to do with Lagos.

Those who buy and sell articles of clothing for instance must have a thing or two to do with Aba and Onitsha. There are lots of Yorubas who travel to Aba and Onitsha frequently for business. Some are resident there.

FG did not leave with all what it brought to Lagos for Abuja. The remnant has been built upon and collectively expanded.

Miss long writer, we are still saying the same thing, and FYI, I'm not fixated on the Igbos, I just say what and when I got to say

Even the lives of these Igbos who badmouth Yorubas at every chance depend on our wealth of resources. This is not tribalism but try tell an Igbo man who has migrated to the West after two years to move back to the east, no he can't because his life has changed for good. It's just a matter of time before the gold mining in Osun State turns it into a big deal.

I thought they got huge allocation there, people there should be fine

It's not a troll, maybe a boast out of pride though, it's a reality one from the region can be proud of.
Do Yorubas living in the Niger delta want to go back to the west? Even the ones that are taxi drivers enjoy there stay, point being people have the freedom to live where they want

Baba. How would you even imagine that we would even get what we want when the Northerners know what they stand to loose ifbwe split? Have you forgotten what happened to the Yorubas they requested for a special status for Lagos State? Or what happened when the south east representatives requested for 3% from the total money generated from the SE to be used to develop the SE. It will never work forget diplomacy.

The result is what you have up there.

Lagos was a former capital developed on the spines of every Nigerian and with the blood of Nigeria Deltans. Not to talk of economic contributions from foreign investments.

With population explosion and economic boom, it expectedly had a spill over effect on neighbouring Ogun and Oyo states.

Nobody can change the narrative of Lagos. No one peoples can say they single-handedly made Lagos.

The owners of the land made their contributions by creating an enabling environment for activities to thrive and they have massively raked in zillions in naira through IGR because of it.

If not for inherent corruption in the blood of the black man, Lagos with it's IGR over decades, could have been an eldorado.

The making of strong men in place of strong institutions is the bane of the Nigerian society.

Niger Deltans used there blood to Develop Lagos, but can't use that same blood to develop there Niger delta. That's outright display of FOOLISHNESS

The earlier we understand this and deploy tactics devoid of another tribe’s support , the better for all of us.
