Airlines do not require you open or close window blinds. Passengers generally do it just watch other planes taxiing in line and for the view in the air. On longer flights, and if you notice people near you trying to sleep or watch movies, it is deemed good behavior to close the blinds so people can sleep and watch movies. Often cabin crews will shut the blinds after passengers depart because that keeps the hot sun from heating up the inside of the plane. |
