I urgently needs help.. my Corolla verso with MMT gear slides into N after driving it for a while and it will be stiff till the engine is cold..I seriously need ur help.. with a specialist that I can have it fixed

Its not a problem per se. The verso is multidrive. Depending on your gear choice, it can cause the car to stop or even shift gears. Sometimes it changes to neutral when you stop in traffic.

There are four driving modes you can choose from. Normal mode, sports mode and shiftmatic mode and Eco mode. Each of these modes depends on your driving conditions. Cruise control also comes into play.

Watch out that you did not activate the engine braking force through the paddle switches on your steering

Pls consult the manual to see exactly what you need to do. Most people who own these cars in Europe never experience this stopping and changing of gears to neutral. The problem is that most people never read car manuals at all.

I rode in one and its a beautiful car to drive, highly fuel efficient.

The solution to your problem is in the manual except the car came with a specific problem.

Thanks it’s been sorted out.. the oil was bad.. i drilled it and put new oil and the transmission has been very smooth.. the car is now at abuja.. thanks for your time and advice it was really helpful .

Just bought a Corolla verso 2006 model, keyless . The gear shift to Neutral while driving and display same on dashboard. The rewire said it the armature inside the rotor. Kindly help, and he advice we change the gear instead of buying the armature

drill the transmission oil and replace with total manual gear oil..I own one..that's what I do when such starts reoccurring

I was having the same gear problem with my Toyota corolla verso 2006. We had drained the oil that came with the car and replaced it with same type of oil (life gear oil) but the problem persists. We replaced the clutch actuator. So far we have been testing it, the car has not stoped on Neutral. Moreso, when the car is in automatic gear, does it changes gear like as if it's a manual that you will feel a slight backward shift whenever it enters into another gear.

I called him, he said he doesn't know anything about the transmission. And that he doesn't know anyone who can fix it either.
