Many jobseekers have shot themselves in the foot because of a bad CV.

As a recruiter, personally, I have come across all sorts of CVs and I can tell you for free that most of these CVs end up in the e-trash.

Here are reasons why:

� CV does not highlight the necessary skills and competencies that is aligned with the job role being applied for.

� Grammatical errors, poor sentence structure, poor outlook

� No originality. Yes! Some jobseekers copy and paste other's CV. I have personally received my own CV (edited) from another jobseeker several years back (story for another day)

� Unncessary details. Why include irrelevant details on your CV that dosen't add any form of value to an employer?These details could even form a bias. Eg, Religion, tribe, full picture and so on

�No value or skills. Employers are looking for value. If you are experienced, highlight your accomplishments. If you are fresh out of school, highlight your skills. You are selling value not mere paper

�No subject. How you apply goes a long way. Some paste their CVs in the body of their email, for some, no subject. Some even forget to add an attachment.

Be intentional about your CV. It is the most important document of a jobseeker. Your CV gets to where you may never get to. Make a good first impression with your CV. A recruiter may also love your CV and keep it in view for another role.

A good CV is like a foot in the door. Make it count!

Vacancy for the role of a Content & Social Media Analyst

Job Description:
The Content & Social Media Analyst will be responsible for building strong online communities of assigned accounts through engaging content on various social media platforms and also engage users and create an interactive relationship between consumer and the assigned brand.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all the social media pages of an assigned brand.
2. Develops engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten the audience and promote brand-focused messages.
3. Develop a monthly content calendar for different brands as assigned.
4. Monitor the social media account of an assigned brand and offer constructive interaction with online users.
5. Design and manage digital solutions to meet clients’ needs.
6. Building quality proposals with unique social media insights and consumer behaviour.
7. Ensure 100% decorum on the online community page of the assigned account.
8. Ensure excellent and 100% client satisfaction and retention as well as achieve increasing revenue goals for the business.

Qualifications:
1. Must possess a minimum of B.Sc degree in Marketing, Communication or related field.
2. Possess a minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in content development and social media management.
3. Exceptional Multi-tasking skills
4. Must be able to explain complex digital data in a simple way for clients understanding.
5. Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
6. Must demonstrate the ability to meet short time deadlines.
7. Proficient with Microsoft Packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
8. Must be technology savvy and innovation-driven.
