Good day guys, I have this problem going on in my family for quite some time, my eldest uncle have bn a thorn in the flesh of my late uncle's(his late younger brother) wife n her only child(a boy)
First he sent the woman parking to her village that her husband didn't build a house in the village before he died, after some family meeting on the issue, he reluctantly allocated a piece of land to the boy, promising to use every diabolical means to make sure the mother will be in abject poverty as not to raise fund to build a house for the boy.
Some years passed n as God may have it, the woman raised some money n started building for her son. To my greatest surprise as I got to the village some days before Xmas, I was told that same man destroyed the building materials dat dis helpless widow have bn toiling all her life to raise the money for this project, he even arrested the site engineer n his workers buh where later released without pay by the dpo himself who came in person to investigate. After then, no action was taken against him for a reason I can't comprehend. Now he have gone ahead to threaten this same widow of loosing thier lives if they set foot on dat same land...I have to bring this here for advice because I have tried to talk to those evil minded elders in the village to caution him n fight for the right of this widow n her child buh as usual, they asked why a young man like me should be concerned Abt the matter. They are supporting this man to oppress n threaten this widows wife from my own observation. Please I need the advice of the lawyers n human rights activists on this forum on how to put this evil man in his place n ensure the safety of life n property of this widow n her only son whose lives are bn threatened.

Bro dis woman have suffered a lot to raise fund for this project. This land we are talking abt is the portion that is supposed to be her husband's portion which upon his demise is to be transferred to his only child n son. It's not like the woman have too much money to buy land elsewhere. This man first chased them off the family house that dey have bn staying anytime dey come back to the village wen d husband was alive. The woman is coming from her village to ours for this project n wen she comes, she will meet part of the ones already built, destroyed by this same man who beats his chest to commiting such a malicious damage...

How old is the child?
I suggest she channel her energy into raising her kid away from your Uncle’s evil eyes right now.

Does the land not have c/o?? Is the land not given legally to his son? I'd love to take this to trial... Your uncle's really heartless.. Although i'm not a lawyer...

Maybe the man likes his late brothers wife and she doesn't want to agree for him

Let her leave the piece of land alone for the brother -in law. If she insists on building the house she and her son may be killed in the process. She should raise her child for now. When he is old enough he will build his father's house.

I know someone who lost her husband and the elder brother to her husband built a house for her in their compound but she abandoned it and rented a place to raise her six children.

Life treats people differently and people respond differently to life.

Let her use the money to perfect the land documents. Let her focus on getting the c of o for now. Funny thing is the elder brother forgets he has his own family and his younger ones are watching how he is treating this woman. If he dies tomorrow, his wife and kids will be here crying about the wickedness of family and tradition.
