Call charges on new tarrif is 12 naira per minute, one of the lowest in the industry. But, subscribers will have to pay a 36 naira per day to benefit angry

36 naira!?! That's about 1k of free money to Airtel per month, whether or not you make calls. This is a massive sting in the tail & takes the shine off what would otherwise have been a much-welcome price cut.  Airtel needs to do better. We need a proper price war to give MTN something to think about.

Initial comparison to Etisalat's easylife (N15 per minute after N20 daily access charge) shows that you are better off with Airtel if you load and use more than N100 daily.

i think you need to brush up your understanding. the 36 naira is charge for the first min call only if you make the call n not a daily access charge

from the article:

To get the reduced rate, Bharti subscribers must pay a daily fee of 36 naira. The rate cut is the first of a series of initiatives it will introduce in Nigeria to “redefine” the country’s telecommunications business, Bharti said.

So daily access charge.

This report is very misleading. You dont pay any access charge to use airtels 2good package. The said 36naira is only the charge for the first minute call you make within 24hours while you are subsequently charged 20k/sec for the remaining duration of your call. Sounds like a fair deal if ya ask me and unarguably the lowest tarrif currently.
