American psychological thriller series You – based on Caroline Kepnes’ book of the same name – took the internet by storm after it started streaming on Netflix in 2018.

The second season of the hit drama landed on Boxing Day and sees the return of Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg – aka Will Bettelheim – alongside a new cast of LA-dwellers.

The quiet bookseller/obsessive lunatic has fled New York after his ex-girlfriend threatened to expose his true identity to the world at large.

It follows the events outlined in Kepnes’ second novel in the series, Hidden Bodies, with Joe Goldberg continuing to wreak havoc on the lives of unsuspecting friends, loved ones – and this time a celebrity too.

It’s certainly been a wild ride for fans of the show, many of which will be wondering whether the show will return for a third season.

What happened at the end of Season 2?
The final episode of You Season 2 was another divisive finale to a high-profile TV series.

In it, Joe’s history catches up with him, despite him having escaped New York to LA to leave behind a past that includes a murdered girlfriend.

The second series saw Joe move to Los Angeles and become Will, before falling for a woman called Love.

However, the series ends with Love – played by Victoria Pedretti – revealing she has an equally dark side and kills people too.

It’s revealed that Love killed Delilah and Candace, saying she did it for the family as she was pregnant.
