I read comments on a possible face off between US and Iran. I noticed many contributions portray the mindset of blackman about war - destruction and more destruction.

I am yet to read a concise input from a strategic background. Everyone is talking about "wipeout", "annihilate", "destroy"....

Wars are not necessarily about destruction.

America and its allies are built for conventional and symmetrical wars, they design their battlefront hardwares and all its features for this purpose. The equipments and resources put into the war have a lifespan. When that lifespan expires the advantages of war start to recede. America fights in different conflicts around the globe and their opponents in these conflicts have varying degrees of military and political resources at different stages of attainment.

In America military power is an industry, a capitalist investment. In a country like Iran nationalism is a spiritual devotion.

America will go into war with intent to maximize intense firepower and decapitate the leadership in very short timeframe and try to fill the political vacuum with substitutes answerable to Washington.

This is a borrowing from the old and tested principle of indirect rule practiced by Britain on foreign soil.

Another factor that will play in this conflict is America's lessons in Iraq and how it will play on such issues as rebuilding.

First, Iran is Shiite. This means America must rebuild the political structure with Shiites. Middle East Muslims are Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds.

1. Syria is Sunni and pro- Iran.
2. Kurds are pro-Iran.
3. In Iraq America chased out Baathists and gave control to Shiite.
4. In Afghanistan America chased out Taliban and gave country to Shiite.
5. Lebanon has Hezbollah, pro Iran.
6. There are are all kinds of militia groups under command of Iran.

Is American hardware and military apparatus capable and willing to endure for a 30yr war in MidEast?

In assymetrical warfare enemies are known to metamorphorse using different tactics to prolong a war far much farther than it should normally take. We saw it happen to Eussia in Afghanistan. It has happened to America in Vietnam, in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Trump should be taken away from twitter so he can think well and reflect. This war should not be fought.

Right thinking diplomats should dispatch and get this issue deescalated asap!

You need to read about Henry Kissinger.

Forget about Trump Twitter rants, the US knows the outcome of this conflict with Iran.

Have you heard RUSSIA saying anything? Just to give an idea.

Though you have clear facts, you are narrow-minded. And when I mean that you are narrow-minded, it is not an insult, it is actually true and I will prove that to you now.

America removes Political Controls of Leadership of those countries to Shiite, because of late, they have become moderate in their extremistic views of Islam. So, in common parlance, USA is removing terrorists loyalists from power and putting moderate Muslims there.

So, when I raised an issue of the drone struck General being more of a janja.weed Crusader than a Military General of a country, it is is the reason that Shitte will always be handed leadership.

Because we can not allow Nuclear Power in the hands of the Sunni's and the Kurd's. Their version of Islam is terribly extreme.

Do you want Nuclear Weapons in the hands of Boko Haram and by extension the Fulani Herdsmen?

Do not allow logic deprive you of common sense which comes from all-round reasoning. So dont be narrow-minded.

America was warned on the consequence of taking battle to Iraq. It will destabilize the region. Has that not happened?

Give me one single gain America got by invading Iraq. Just a single one.

Terrorism has become an income earning enterprise for youths trapped in poverty. Terrorism is no longer about Arabs or Islam....but about power and capital.

The terrorism of Osama Bin Landen is different from terrorism of ISIS. One is about chasing out infidels from Arab land....the latter is about earning income. They have learnt when America is in MidEast money flows. When America leaves money dries. So they prolong conflicts and push America buttons to provoke sending more troops and budget to mideast.

Can you all not see?

Dont you know ISIS fighters have been caught and turned out to be Christians? They use religion to stoke sentiments and agenda but underground they recruit any and all looking for income and control.

This problem of terrorism will escalate and the fighters and their ideologies will splinter and metamorphorse to become a bigger danger in future.

They are not illiterates like we are told. These are guys with college degrees, some in their top leadership have masters in science, engineering and even computer. They should not be under-estimated.

The best option here is for neutral countries to jump in and convince both sides to exercise constraint.
We dont want another war so soon.

You are absolutely right on that post!

Iran will make this war about their nationalism....their spiritual values!

When Bush named the axis of evil Iran was included in the three. The other two were Iraq and North Korea.

The Iranians knew their day is coming and have spent time to restructure and plant assets in places where before they had zero influence. There is hardly anywhere in mideast that Iran does not currently have one or two militias on its payroll and backing.

Beside that....lets look at North Korea. So how will they receive the idea of America taking out one axis of evil after the other? Iraq and Iran gone.....how long before America will come for them? They might start a preemptive war to put America on notice.

Who wants to deal with all these mess?

They need to impeach Trump right away if that will bring an end to the conflict.

A destabilized Western Asia benefits the Eurocentrics as well as the Arabian Penisular.

Basically, America is merely attempting to assist their Arabian allies.

Iranians arent Arabs.

Iraqies arent Arabs.

Jordanians arent Arabs.

Quatar arent Arabs.

What one needs to understand is that Arabs were the originators of Muhammadeism and the first Asians to unify all of Western Asia and much of North East Africa.

Apparently they didnt need to be an Arab to become an Arabian fundamentalist.

These feats has been accomplished by Arabian fundamentalist leaders on multiple occassions, one of the more famous outside of the Arabian Penisular is probably that of the Ottoman Empire that recently collapsed into modern day nation of Turkey.
