Jonathan Denies Rumoured Report He's Contesting For 2023 Poll by Gemid94(m): 5:12pm On Jan 07, 2020
Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday reacted to reports that he was under pressure to contest the 2023 presidential election.

Reports of some people mounting presure on Jonathan to contest for the presidential election in 2023 have been circulating on different social media platforms.

But reacting in a statement by his spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan denied the report.

He said his mind was occupied with means of promoting peace and sustainable democracy in Africa.

“There was nothing like that. The former President has not made any comments nor spoken to anyone on the coming elections.

“He is busy concentrating on his foundation, The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation (GJF), and its work of promoting peace, sustainable democracy and youth empowerment in Africa,” Eze said.

I'd advise Jonathan to rest.

I don't think the North will vote for him and Tinubu Lagos-Ibadan expressway press will kill him with propaganda especially about corruption where Dasukigate would be a ready example.

PDP should pair a northerner with our Darling Peter Obi.

The northerner should then clear the ground for Obi to succeed him and arrange this country for us.

Jonathan can actually win if he plays his cards well and he stands a better chance than Atiku/Obi in 2023.

Even Norther political power brokers may support him if he strikes appropriate deals with them because

1) He can only spend a maximum of four years.

2) He is from a minority ethnic group and thus has little capacity to change the balance of powers in the country.

GEJ can't win any kind or type of elective position in nigeria.

When BMC fôols want to distract Nigerians from something, they bring up Gej who’s quietly enjoying his retirement. The most significant news that happened in the last 24hrs in Nigeria was bombing of a bridge in Borno state by Boko Haram where at least 30 lives were lost, the semiliterate zombies want to distract us from commenting on that news and holding the Daura dûllard responsible for loss of lives. I cannot be deceived cool
