Jonathan’s govt; Economy was better, which they had largely fueled by mostly inflows from corruption/corrupt practice bt coupled with a good economic team,

Corruption was at an all time high. Boosted the economy bt only temporarily as the were no longterm core structures to maintain/sustain this boosted economy propagated by mostly corruption and free flow of funds.

Jonathan and he team knew what they were doing on the short term bt not so sure on the longterm cos even with a good economic team grand corruption can not be sustainable for any seriously developing nation at best we will be in motion bt yet stagnant.

STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION .......... Oga Jona.

We went to Google and typed the word 'ineffectual buffon' in the search box, and below is the first page that popped up from the foreign/international and highly respected Economist Magazine......

Wasted years of looting
It could have been worse!

A bag of rice was sold for 12k before your uselless father came on board, how much is a bag now?

A dollar to naira exchange was 120/usd, how much is it now?

Nigeria economy was doing well before your leprous father came, how is it now?

You know deep down in your heart that things are not moving in the right direction, but the monthly handout given to you by your father has lock your conscience in the dungeon.

Half of Jonathan is better than a million Buhari.

If only our democracy started with a great, honest and pious man like President Muhammadu Buhari back in 1999.
Unfortunately it started with looters, criminals, rapists and fraudulent characters.
We thank God for his faithfulness.

It could have been worse!
Many Nigerians would have been eating from trash/dustbins by now.
And less than 100 people having BILLIONS OF DOLLARS stashed all over the world to oppress the remaining 200 million citizens!
Again, It could have been worse!

Immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan has said that his administration did not plug all loopholes in its bid to end corruption in the country.

The former President, however, said it was wrong to assume that the economy would have been in a worse shape if he was not kicked out of power in 2015.

Jonathan spoke at the Eagles Square, Abuja on Saturday during the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, non- elective national convention.

He was flanked by his former deputy, Namadi Sambo, some serving and former governors, and chieftains of the party.

Jonathan also pointed at the 2012 flood in the country as a major set back to his government.

According to him, “Though we didn’t completely plug the loopholes in the fight against corruption, but we did well.

“I learnt that some people said that if the PDP had remained in power beyond 2015, the economy would have been worse. This couldn’t have been the case, because we had a sound economic team in place.

“Let us not forget that the great floods of 2012 were a major calamity that damaged homes and farmlands on the plains of River Niger and Benue.

“But despite the devastating effects of this natural disaster, there were no food shortages or arbitrary increase in prices, because of what we were able to accomplish with our agriculture transformation agenda, which considerably boosted food production.

“If we say that we rekindled hope in our people and regained international goodwill, it is because we pursued a number of policies and programmes that were not only richly rewarding for our people, but were also being copied by many countries across the globe, a few of which I will mention here.”
