The Honourable Minister for Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and his wife, Dame Judith Amaechi, on Saturday joined Nigeria’s former President, his Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and other dignitaries to pay a final respect to Late Dr. Mensah Blankson, at a funeral service held for the deceased in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Late Dr. Mensah Blankson who passed on at 80, was once a Head of Department in the Rivers State College of Education, in the 80s, and was awarded the Maitland Eamsay Scholarship at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where he earned his PhD.
Late Dr. Blankson was father to Pastor Manuela George- Izunwa, Co-Pastor, Gateway International Church, and Executive Director Sitrid International School.

Mrs Manuela George- Izunwa is also former commissioner for Women Affairs who served during the Rt. Honourable Chibuike Amaechi’s tenure as Governor, Rivers State.
